WilliamTell
QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Sep 24, 2008 -> 06:36 PM) Minnesota should be doing this, not the White Sox. If nothing else, we obviously are seeing Blackburn. There should be 4 runs on the board by the 5th. I hope so but I won't believe it until I see it. WilliamTell
lol didn't the Twins score 3 runs on 2 hits last night, and we only score 1 run on 4 hits. I love playing the Twins.

fathom
Even Hawk was able to notice that Wise was trying to hard to hit the long ball there.
Flash Tizzle
Wise struckout on a meat pitch up, and once again, the momentum shifts away from us. Why is it this series, even in game 2, we seem completely unable to hit high changeups or hanging breaking balls?

chisoxdavid
Atleast they got a few hits that inning, hopefully it carries into the next, and Mark can hold them down.

santo=dorf
Damn. We needed a missed strike three, a misplay by the RF AND Blackburn misplaying a ball that should have gone foul to score a run. Of course we return the favor by only getting 1 run (from them screwing up) on 4 base hits, including a double. :sigh:
caulfield12
Well AJ and Wise have both had huge opportunities to put a dagger into the Twins and we've failed to get it done. Meanwhile, the Twins are going to have the best average in MLB history with RISP. Blackburn knocked down Uribe's ball or it would have been back through the box for a 2-1 Sox lead. At least we seem to be "awake" now.
WilliamTell
QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Sep 24, 2008 -> 06:39 PM) Wise struckout on a meat pitch up, and once again, the momentum shifts away from us. Why is it this series, even in game 2, we seem completely unable to hit high changeups or hanging breaking balls? Wise is not a power hitter and needs to realize not to try for it. He should've just tried for the base hit.
fathom
QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Sep 25, 2008 -> 01:39 AM) Wise struckout on a meat pitch up, and once again, the momentum shifts away from us. Why is it this series, even in game 2, we seem completely unable to hit high changeups or hanging breaking balls? Does this team ever hit that pitch? Seems like everyone our pitchers throw, the opposition murders. The Sox end up fouling off the pitch. I wonder what percent of our homers are on fastballs?
