Should I even bother taking the 2 hour drive up to Minneapolis to see the White Sox play?

I've bought tickets already so I won't be able to get a refund for. The Twins are playing unbelievably well while the White Sox are just terrible. Plus I can't stand the fans there. They rip into any opposing fan and I don't feel like dealing with them with the lack of confidence I have in the White Sox for tomorrow's game. But since I already have the tickets, and haven't seen the Sox yet this year, it'd be nice to see and maybe hope for a win.

I don't know what I despise more, the Twinkies or the Hump Dome.

I had a bad feeling about this series, but I didn't think the Sox were going to be as pathetic as they have been.

Definitely put today's performance up there with Freddy G's two hit shut-out from a couple of season's ago where he walked away with a loss. :bang

The torch is being passed. The White Sox look like the old, plodding team they are. They provide no sense of excitement and the pitching simply isn't good enough to carry the clods we have hitting.

This roster needs to be turned over in the off-season. You can't count on Cleveland and Detroit being derailed by injuries again and the Twins will only be better as they kick off the dust of being major league neophytes.

We currently have at least 3 designated hitters on the roster, 4 corner outfielders, no center fielders, a poor hitting 3rd baseman, a prima donna at shortstop, 1 horrible starting pitcher making more money than god, another starting pitcher older than John McCain coming off an injury, and no semblence of a strong future.

We rarely win when we don't hit multiple home runs. Case closed. As far as turning over the roster, when we don't make the playoffs that probably will happen. KW better make smart moves, though. There's no guarantee switching philosophies to a speedier team will help us in the standings. Two runs in such a big game? Ridiculous.

this is way worse... didn't Santana pitch that game for the Twins. Tonight Blackburn was bad and the Sox did nothing to take advantage of it

i say the odds of them winning tommorow is probably 10-15%. The Twins have the momentum and most likely the division. This season reminds me of 2004 when they lost Maggs and Frank. Yep the loss of CQ has all but ended the Sox chances of anything special this season.

Shouldn't have though. the middle of the lineup, specifically Thome and Dye have had chance after chance after chance to do something, even just sac flies and have failed. Q was a big loss, but this team has had numerous chances with vetrans and have s*** themselves. I won't hang my hat on the Q loss

We f***ing suck. Is Griffey the only one who's shown up this series, hes accounted for basically all are runs so far.

Realistically, this last game was going to be our best chance to beat the Twins. Javy can't pitch in big gms and Mark doesn't have good success vs Twins. Floyd has done well vs them so he better show up tomorrow.

For crying out loud are bats better f***ing wake up.

Our lineup is something like

1- token speed guy swinging for the fences

2- guy who occasionally makes contact outs

3- power hitter swinging for the fences

4- power hitter swinging for the fences

5- power hitter swinging for the fences

6- power hitter swinging for the fences

7- non-power hitter swinging for the fences

8- non-power hitter swinging for the fences

9- non-power hitter swinging for the fences

But they are not taught to swing for the fences. It must be just some sort of luck.

This series is doing nothing to quiet the talk that Konerko and Dye lost all their fire after 2005.

Well, they had their best season in 2006. The problem is they're just old and bad.

We have an ungodly amount of money comitted to an aging core of declining players.

I still think this season is far from a successful season. 4 young players does not a team make. The Sox are going to need a lot of help if they want to be contenders again.
