Felix
QUOTE (tommy @ Sep 25, 2008 -> 10:34 PM) I'm surrounded by Cub fans right now, I don't know what to do with myself. Poor f***ing you. I'd rather that than having to go to all three of these games and having to wait for the f***ing bus after each of these pathetic losses. Let me just say that Twin fans are f***ing classless and that I was a half second away from punching a few of those cocksuckers near the end of that f***ing thing. Frankensteiner
Maybe one of our resident soxtalk experts can call me out again for being too negative about this team all season. Just goes to show what a s***ty team it's been all along.
Wanne
I'm embarrassed too. Embarrassed at the lack of nads this team showed the entire month of September. I really don't even give a f*** what they do against Cleveland. And to tell you the truth...I was so pumped about them coming up to Glendale this spring...now...I really don't even give a f***. f*** every one of them.......CLEAN HOUSE. BobDylan
The suicide watch is in effect. It's a game, people. Unless your wife is gonna leave you based on the White Sox performance, there is nothing to be embarrassed about. Have a drink, go to bed, wake up in the morning and forget about it. Nobody thinks you're a terrorist because the White Sox let out a steaming pile of s*** this series. Deep breaths.
Yoda
QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Sep 25, 2008 -> 10:59 PM) Ozzie was quite thoroughly outmanaged in this series too. I still don't understand why the lines weren't being guarded for Span's triple. Ozzie has been outmanaged in various series. And this hasn't only happened this year, but in previous season's as well. One can only give praise that the '05 roster contained career year's for many of it's players (i.e. Cliff Politte, Neal Cotts, Hermanson, etc.,). What goes into Ozzie's head is beyond anyone's knowledge.
FlaSoxxJim
QUOTE (BobDylan @ Sep 26, 2008 -> 12:56 AM) It's a game, people. Unless your wife is gonna leave you based on the White Sox performance, there is nothing to be embarrassed about. That looked like a real possibility for a while, and may still happen, since me and my Rays fan wife would be at the Trop watching the two teams face off if it came to pass. chisox2334
Im sorry but why is anyone suprised of what happened past couple of weeks and hell if you want to include months. The last time I ever felt confident with this team was when w sox swept twins back at home for a four game set. How long ago was that. Ever since the white sox played medicore baseball at times during this and hell even worst during this stretch of novemeber. With all the quotes whether be ozzie calling out javier vasquez and the classic vasquez line " I dont care, I get to go home with money". Real classy javier, tells all about that guy right there. Orlando Cabrera, my my my the leadingship you done with your mouth to media has worked 100 percent make yourself look like a giant asshole looking for new contract. You wanna say something to teammate go up to him and be honest about it. I almost got feeling by tonight that we should feel their pain and sorry for putting up a half ass effort last few weeks. I watched the crap and I felt like was 2007 all over again with easy outs and really bad pitching. You can look at every game that was real close blame ozzie for stupid moves to first game of the season with umps blowing it. We played bad and deserved the faith that shaun upon us. s*** does happened in baseball and tigers and indians know danm well this year about it. Dont worry clevlened will be more than ready next year and I for one dont look foward to facing them. Twins have very consistent pitching and they usually all go 6 innings and dont have a mess of a bullpen that ozzie somehow made out to be. I will not give up on them. But, the reality of it is we just stink and there was no way this team was gonna do anything. in 2005 you felt confident when you went to ballpark abd energy was amazing. I never got that feeling at all this year. I felt like we benifited from detrioit and espeically clev injuries. The future does look bright though. Carlos quentin, alexi raimerez, healthy limbrink, danks, jenks, and floyd all give reason for hope next season. I want all the realists out there to go out and tell me did you ever even think we come close contending for divsion in last week. Alot people had us 4th and worst. I dont blame them either do to worst crap baseball I had ever seen. And I do mean after May. The problems I got with the team heading into this offseason is someone better become f***ing leader and shut up all the egos and crap. All this crap of talking outside to media does what for you other than answer stupid questions about some incident. When you play good you wont hear moaning and complaining to media. Another thing is ozzie better start developing baseball players. Yes , baseball players. No how to first to third, score a run from second on a base hit, learn how to bunt, and most of alll run a god danm rundown. I never seen a run down look so danm pitfull all year till you watch the w sox. You just sit and wonder what exactly do they even work on. I will say from last year jermaine dye and jim thome bounced back really nicely. I am glad have them back and proved to me they indeed can still play this game very well. Alot of crap has gone down for us and lets face it no 5th starter hurt us and rotation set was never the same again, having a clutch joe crede does hurt, losing your mvp of year as well and of course losing your best setup and basically making ozzie go with weird situations. I hope everyone knows that free agencey will be hear very shortly and who knows what kenny has up his sleeves this offseason and im sure hes gonna be pushing the envelope. Just enjoy these final days of baseball cause it will be gone for awhile and only then will you know how much you wish you could watch it during those months. I will be at tommrrows game watching and hope see some energy. I can only expect it to be like a funeral. you can tell from coming all way to minny to all the way here is that somber and sadness is going on southside. So cheer and enjoy the baseball. night. greg775
Before the game, Guillen tackled topics that would hint his clubhouse is coming apart at the seams. There's the issue of a sulking Nick Swisher, the man who was the life of the party early in the season whose constant pouting draws more attention than his funky hairdos. Despite a .194 batting average since the All-Star break, Swisher actually believes he deserves to be in Guillen's lineup. Then there's Cabrera, who has convinced himself and no one else that he is the only leader in the clubhouse. Cabrera has chosen now to call out his teammates when he would be hard-pressed to cough up each of their first names. And there was Guillen, who undoubtedly would rather have been discussing his postseason rotation than this nonsense. ''When you have 25 guys every day, there's always going to be a problem in the clubhouse -- in the beginning, the middle, the end,'' Guillen said. ''That's part of the game.'' Swisher's unhappiness is not lost on Guillen, though the manager has no plans to return the struggling veteran to his lineup. Swisher got a chance to pinch hit in the ninth inning Thursday and struck out. ''I have to put the best lineup out there to win the game,'' Guillen said. ''To me, the best lineup right now is without him.'' At this point, Guillen and the Sox can no longer worry about all of the selfish things happening in their clubhouse. Their season as turned desperate. Only one thing should matter. ''I'm sick of [bleep]ing losing,'' Pierzynski said. ''It sucks, but we're still alive. Hopefully, we go home and win four games and we kick their ass on Tuesday.'' All I can say is 'Wow. Mr Team Guy Swish is brooding. He and OC were not the great clubhouse guys we supposedly were getting. We are done, folks. We is finished.
jenksycat
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 25, 2008 -> 09:37 PM) Don't tell that to some folks on this board who STILL claim he is untradeable. yeah, lets trade a solid guy from our bullpen we are paying 500k. We could just replace him with waserman, same difference. so stupid
sox1844
Tell me how Ozzie, the great manager, is still talking smack about the only guy who is showing up in his whole line-up.....???????
sox1844
I've never hated Ozzie more in my life. He is DISGUSTING. What an embarassment.
WhiteSoxfan1986
Is anyone really suprised that we got swept? This team just isn't very good right now, plain and simple. The injuries have killed us, and players like Dye haven't stepped up. Let me add that Ozzie has been terrible lately too. (Griffey in center, four man rotation, etc.). chw42
Bobby has never pitched well in that dome. Our defense played a wrong setup by not playing no-doubles. Bobby made two 0-2 mistakes. That's inexcusable
