justBLAZE
CHICAGO -- Carlos Quentin had his right wrist injury re-evaluated on Friday in Chicago, and the resulting news once again represented a small step forward. According to White Sox athletic trainer Herm Schneider, through a report delivered by a media relations representative, the X-rays of the fracture Quentin suffered on Sept. 1 looked great and Quentin was definitely making progress. The All-Star left fielder, who has 36 home runs and 100 RBIs during this breakout 2008 season, is not ready for game-situation swings. He can continue taking light swings with an exercise stick under Schneider's supervision, but there's a distinct difference between that effort and going against a 90-mph fastball or dealing with a checked swing. There's still no timetable set for Quentin's return. He underwent outpatient surgery on Sept. 8 to have a screw inserted into his fractured wrist. Quentin joined the team on Sept. 19 in Kansas City to continue undergoing range-of-motion and strengthening exercises. LINKE.
Cali
Good to hear. He should be 100% by ST of '09 ready to tear it the f*** up. (Baseball, not his wrist)
The Ginger Kid
The earliest I could see him returning would be a world series appearance. Is there a chance he doesn't even make the post season roster? (I know, I'm laughing inside)
