My co-worker's dad is a huge Iowa booster, and said this is Ferentz's last season no matter what.

I'm an Iowa alum and while I wish you're coworker's dad was correct, I couldn't disagree more. I think there's a better chance he'll come back next year than there has been of him coming back the last 6 or 7.

BTW, with the shellacking of Javy tonight, he nows owns a higher than league average ERA in 3 of his 4 AL seasons. The only time he outperformed the league average, he pitched meaningless games.

We still need to have some faith in this team. As bad as we have looked so far, there have been times this year where the Sox have come out of nowhere and poured it on the other team after looking lifeless for the first half of the game. It's only a one run game. Stop thinking about how bad we're at the plate and how bad we will be.

It's times like these where I question why I'm even a fan. I'm supposed to enjoy the game, win or lose. Whatever I guess.

That worked before, maybe again?

The most hilarious thing in this ballgame is while the fans were standing and applauding the KC victory, we hit into a double play

sums up the season. post CQ at least.

I said the same thing as they posted the score.

Sorry, we have zero, none, nada, zip, zilch testicular fortitude.

Me too...I wish we'd treat him more like a youngster than Terry Mulholland. We start him for 7 innings one game, and then we have him throwing in the bullpen 2 days later for relief.

I freaking loved Terry Mullholland. That guy had the greatest pick off move in the world.

He supposedly had chances to go to Jacksonville and possibly the Steelers/Lions/Ravens between 2002-2004. I think he's just burned out and having trouble getting his second wind...and he's never been a great recruiter. His one very strong recruiting class has been highlighted by Chicago players like Christensen, Doerring, Richardson and Moeaki has had very little or no impact. Almost unbelieveable, because the guy was like God and beloved, could have run for governor three or four years ago and won.

Shoulda stuck with the 5-man rotation Ozzie........jerkoff. That was the downfall IMO of the past few weeks.

Always a panic move.

I don't know, maybe Kenny Williams could've traded for someone. Byrd. Washburn. Kenny Rogers. Hell, bring in Chad Bradford and Carrasco could've gone to that spot; he was going well then, and he's a starter.
