Wanne
QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Sep 27, 2008 -> 07:36 PM) I really like Clayton. Shoulda stuck with the 5-man rotation Ozzie........jerkoff. That was the downfall IMO of the past few weeks.
SleepyWhiteSox
QUOTE (Frankensteiner @ Sep 27, 2008 -> 07:35 PM) I don't really see why people are still getting mad at this point. This team making the playoffs isn't going to make me feel better about their season. It's actually a little embarassing if they do. You're crazy... CWSOX45
QUOTE (Sox It To Em @ Sep 27, 2008 -> 06:37 PM) Is it too much to ask for this team to win one f***ing game? Christ. Yes. It's even too much to as for 3 quality at bats in an inning.
Dick Allen
QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 27, 2008 -> 07:34 PM) My co-worker's dad is a huge Iowa booster, and said this is Ferentz's last season no matter what. I'm an Iowa alum and while I wish you're coworker's dad was correct, I couldn't disagree more. I think there's a better chance he'll come back next year than there has been of him coming back the last 6 or 7. BTW, with the shellacking of Javy tonight, he nows owns a higher than league average ERA in 3 of his 4 AL seasons. The only time he outperformed the league average, he pitched meaningless games. WilliamTell
QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 27, 2008 -> 06:36 PM) Maybe we need one of those 6 run innings we had back in Minnesota. They also had a bad play in the outfield and a bad throw to first that inning.
Sox It To Em
QUOTE (Sox It To Em @ Sep 27, 2008 -> 07:33 PM) Here comes a big inning for the Sox. Book it. Dumbass.
fathom
Javy is now 12-16 this season. Think about that.....how f***ing awful. Yet, we made sure to pitch him vs the Twins. Edited September 28, 2008 by fathom
chw42
We still need to have some faith in this team. As bad as we have looked so far, there have been times this year where the Sox have come out of nowhere and poured it on the other team after looking lifeless for the first half of the game. It's only a one run game. Stop thinking about how bad we're at the plate and how bad we will be. It's times like these where I question why I'm even a fan. I'm supposed to enjoy the game, win or lose. Whatever I guess. That worked before, maybe again?

retro1983hat
QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Sep 27, 2008 -> 07:31 PM) The most hilarious thing in this ballgame is while the fans were standing and applauding the KC victory, we hit into a double play sums up the season. post CQ at least. I said the same thing as they posted the score. Sorry, we have zero, none, nada, zip, zilch testicular fortitude.

Chisoxfn
QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 27, 2008 -> 05:37 PM) Me too...I wish we'd treat him more like a youngster than Terry Mulholland. We start him for 7 innings one game, and then we have him throwing in the bullpen 2 days later for relief. I freaking loved Terry Mullholland. That guy had the greatest pick off move in the world. He supposedly had chances to go to Jacksonville and possibly the Steelers/Lions/Ravens between 2002-2004. I think he's just burned out and having trouble getting his second wind...and he's never been a great recruiter. His one very strong recruiting class has been highlighted by Chicago players like Christensen, Doerring, Richardson and Moeaki has had very little or no impact. Almost unbelieveable, because the guy was like God and beloved, could have run for governor three or four years ago and won.

That was the downfall IMO of the past few weeks. Always a panic move. I don't know, maybe Kenny Williams could've traded for someone. Byrd. Washburn. Kenny Rogers. Hell, bring in Chad Bradford and Carrasco could've gone to that spot; he was going well then, and he's a starter.
