Harry Chappas
As dumb as this sounds if the Sox don't need to win tomorrow I'd like to see Richard pitch. No real reason why, I just would.
shipps
QUOTE (PlunketChris @ Sep 28, 2008 -> 02:40 PM) I think it's been said Danks tomorrow and Gavin Tuesday. Gavin is definitely going tomorrow
TheChrisSamsa
QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Sep 28, 2008 -> 01:41 PM) Danks on two days rest? I sure hope not. I must be mistaken. my bad. So, Gavin tomorrow against Detroit.. that makes sense.. he pretty much owns the Tigers.

jphat007
QUOTE (Felix @ Sep 28, 2008 -> 02:41 PM) Oh man, I was wrong. I'd still rather BA against a LHP than Griffey, any day of the week. Cause he kilt the ball the first two days.

NorthPaw
does it scare anyone else that our playoff hope will be solely in the hands of Danks? don't get me wrong, he's been great for us this year, but such a young kid? and he had a bad outting last time out, his confidence might not be there. I still think hes better than Javy 'big-game-no-show' Vasquez imo

No real reason why, I just would. No matter the situation, I can't concoct a scenario where I think the Sox don't need to win. If they get to play at all, the best case is not having to play the Twins Tuesday. I guess if you say "they're not eliminated if they don't win..." But still. Harry Chappas
QUOTE (PlunketChris @ Sep 28, 2008 -> 01:43 PM) why wouldn't we need to win tomorrow? Because they could play tomorrow and not have to win to play Tuesday and the way the brillant 3 day rest thing is going I'd rather have a fully rested pitcher going Tuesday then to rely on the atroucious bullpen both days. Oh and the best game pitched in the last week and a half was by Richard.

joejoesox
QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Sep 28, 2008 -> 01:45 PM) It does sound dumb, because there is no scenario where the Sox don't need to win tomorrow. technically, it isn't a must-win tomorrow, as if the Twins lose and we win today, we're up by a half game we lose tomorrow, division would end in a tie, resulting in the tiebreaker game this is all technically speaking of course
