Paulie4Pres
Don't tell me I'm the only one that noticed this. I haven't seen him break 94 but maybe once or twice all year. Evidently, he still has it if he wants it....
linglingfool
3 pitches in that AB: 97, 98, 99. Either he was jacked, or TBS was having a little fun with their gun. I'll say this, though: if Bobby can stay up there, I feel good about our chances.

Disco72
On the replay of the last play, the TBS gun said 100mph for Bobby.

I dunno. Most of Danks stuff was 92-93. Same with Blackburn. That's about right for those two guys, no?
Balta1701
Gameday had him popping the same numbers, although I don't know if TBS and gameday feed from the same gun (Gameday and CSN/WGN typically don't use the same gun)

Steve9347
The last pitch of the game was 100 mph. We all saw his curveball tonight as well. Bobby + playoffs = deadly.
lostfan
QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ Sep 30, 2008 -> 10:54 PM) lol, tbs gun didnt have danks at 92-93, it was 94-95 occasionally I've seen Danks throw as high as 95 during the season, and Danks was as sharp as any other game this year tonight. If the gun was juicing Bobby, it wasn't by that much.
max power
The fact that Nathan was throwing 98 mph high fastballs makes me think bobby was too.

Yeah, I don't think the gun was off, and if it was, it wasn't off by much. It's just good to see Bobby still able to reach back and fire like that!!!! Wise Master Buehrle
One must also take into consideration that this may have been planned by Bobby Jenks... throw 95 tops most of the year and be mostly a finesse pitcher and get people out by making them make bad contact, but then at the end of the season in the big games... turn it back on and completely fool the opposition while they think you transformed yourself into a finesse pitcher. I actually kind of suspected this earlier on in the season, and it's odd that I was right.
GoSox05
At the stadium they showed 92-93 for Danks and Jenks at 97 for Jenks.

elrockinMT
QUOTE (hi8is @ Oct 1, 2008 -> 02:51 AM) i think their gun was turned up... i mean, i don't remember danks throwing 95... or am i wrong? Danks wsa hitting 92-93-94 and did hit 95 more than once. I think Bobby was hitting 98-99 as registered. I made mention of wanting to see this from Bobby in a prior post I made and I guess he read it. He was awfully good in his relief inning and Danks was just simply super. Fotop
Just got back from the game....stadium gun had 96, 97, 97 for his first three pitches I believe. Didn't bother looking at it for the rest of the time since everyone was so jazzed. Sounds like the TBS gun was jacked up a bit.
SoxAce
I told most of you f***ers here that Jenks can reach back at will and he says the same thing. I knew he would be jacked up for this run and the blood pumping shows it. I expect him to be the 05' Jenks again in the postseason. This is why he's been saving his arm. And yes the highest he had from TBS, some of the guns online here and from what my boy told me at the game was around 96-99. EvilMonkey
Jenks was throwing in the high 90's his last 2 or 3 times out. I don't remmeber him doing it much during the rest of the year though.
Whitewashed in '05
QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Sep 30, 2008 -> 10:33 PM) Jenks was throwing in the high 90's his last 2 or 3 times out. I don't remmeber him doing it much during the rest of the year though. As others have mentioned at the game he came in throwing 97. Danks was consistently around 92. whitesoxfan101
The gun was definitely hot tonight, it had Blackburn at 92-94 and there is no way in hell he throws that hard.
NorthSideSox72
Gun at the stadium showed Jenks at 96 and 97 a few times, and someone said it flashed 98 but I didn't see it. So I don't think TBS' gun was hot by more than a couple clicks, tops. Jenks was just hyped up in a big way.
