MexSoxFan#1
If the Angels lose and there is still time for them to come back in this game, that would be the 2 teams with the best record in their respective leagues out by way of the sweep, baseball is a strange game,y'all. iWiN4PreP
true indeed it is unique that the 2 wildcard teams would sweep the best teams. hell, it would also mean only 5 teams are left, and the white sox is one of them... dam

Yoda
QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Oct 5, 2008 -> 08:02 PM) Future White Sox chone figgins with a single. I was just thinking that. A player like Chone Figgons in a White Sox uniform would be adequate for the team because he has the ability to play multiple positions. He has just about everything the Sox need to fill that hole in the top of the order for year's to come.

Kalapse
The more I watch K-Rod, the less I like him as a closer. On the other hand; the more I watch Papelbon, the more I love him as a closer. 1.) Rivera 2a.) Nathan 2b.) Papelbon -Soria -K-Rod -Jenks -Lidge -Wagner -Valverde -Fuentes As soon as Soria brings his act to a non-sub-.500 team he'll separate himself from the rest of the second tier. whitesoxfan101
I'm absolutely shocked that the Angels won last night. They have a shot in this series now though, although they did wear out their pitching staff last night. But just to win a game against Boston is huge for them even beyond staying alive (maybe they'll be over the mental hump now), especially when Beckett pitched for Boston and the Angels were able to overcome a lot of mistakes. I agree. After that blooper fell for a 3-run single, I thought the game was OVAH. If the Angels can find a way to beat Lester the molestor tonight... they will win the series.
