Two terrible calls tonight. yeah he was clearly safe to the naked eye. I guess they gotta try and make the game interesting. Same thing with the strike zone Z is getting. santo=dorf
In theory if the Sox got rid of Thome, with OC coming off the books they might start getting in the range of Manny and could play him at DH. Getting rid of Thome saves the Sox what, $8, 9 million? Trade Dye and you'll save more and get a better package as well.

fathom
This is a big inning for Billingsley. He can't let the Cubs feel like they're back in the game.
santo=dorf
Too bad the ump blew it. It would've been cool to see every Cubs player in the infield make an error.

rangercal
QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Oct 2, 2008 -> 11:15 PM) yeah he was clearly safe to the naked eye. I guess they gotta try and make the game interesting. Same thing with the strike zone Z is getting. It really doesn't matter I guess. Cubs will just continue to beat themselves. Though, it looks like the dodgers came to play, so they do not need much help from the cubs.
MexSoxFan#1
The way I look at it is that we are playing with the house's money,we weren't expected to win the AL central and here we are,we still got a shot vs the Devil Rays tomorrow...on the other hand the Cubs had the best record in the NL and home field advantage and expected to at least get to the WS and now it looks like they are gonna not even get past the 1st round, sure sucks to be a Cubs fan. Soxbadger
Obviously Id like to see the Sox trade a few big money players in the off season. Now that they have Danks, Floyd, Alexei, Queintin there are actually young talented players to build around so the Sox just need to start filling in the rest. For my money, the Tuesday game was our World Series.
