Harry Chappas
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Oct 2, 2008 -> 10:55 PM) So did the league just figure Fukodome out, or was he never really that good? He's worse than Nick Swisher. And that's pretty bad. Thanks to Soxtalk at a Christmas Dinner of friends last year I look really smart when I stated Ramirez was a better pick up than Fukodome. I said that really, not sure I believed it but it made everyone feel better.

whitesoxfan99
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Oct 2, 2008 -> 10:59 PM) This isn't even close to the same Dodger offense the Cubs saw. I tried to tell my dumbass Cub slurping friends. They know now. Manny completely changes the complexion of a lineup. The Dodgers have a lot of solid hitters and those guys just all seem to produce more when you stick a hitter of Manny's caliber in a lineup. They get more chances with guys on base and see better pitches. Plus a return from Furcal and you suddenly have a very strong lineup. And it doesn't hurt that Lowe has been absolutely on fire on the mound.

Jordan4life_2007
This is really unbelievable. The Dodgers have just straight up PUNKED the scubs. Which team won 97 games again?
Friend of Nordhagen
QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Oct 2, 2008 -> 09:05 PM) The boos get louder every inning. So those ARE boos? I mean, it just sounds weird, kind of a low drone. Are people just sitting and booing for a half-hour at a time? It's just a real strange sound. Harry Chappas
With the off day the cubs are going to have to score against the big guns. Anyone hear the excuses on MVP 1000 this morning for why Dempster blew last night. He was too amped up.

I've said that Reynolds hitting a homer against Marmol in game 1 is the most shocking homer I've ever seen.

Are people just sitting and booing for a half-hour at a time? It's just a real strange sound. Like they said on TV.......all these fans want to go home. They just probably can't justify leaving in the 6/7th inning after paying $500/seat. They haven't had a thing to cheer about. I'm laughing! whitesoxfan101
The Cubs are 0-8 all time in playoff games west of the Chicago city limits. So that is another fact not in their favor.
