Soxbadger
Some how i think Manny will get that one back And Im sure hes fine with a 5-0 lead. Z's gotta be pissed he got a tailor made DP ball and the cubs didnt even get 1 out.
Kid Gleason
Holy crap!!! But...the Cubs are the best team in the NL!?! I feel bad for my boss. He's a HUGE Cubs fan, always has been. Season ticket holder. He sold his first round play-off tickets but held on to his second and World Series tickets. Not looking good for those tickets to get use. IlliniKrush
Furcal's foot was outside the box on his bunt attempt. Just to prepare you for the huge excuse they'll all make tomorrow, and something I'd hope we wouldn't make, but it was indeed what happened. santo=dorf
What a ridiculous outside corner for Zambrano in that inning. If Billingsley gets the same zone the Cubs are in big trouble. Zambrano always get that outside half of the opposite batter's box. It's f***ing ridiculous. My first bad memory was that Sunday game at Wrigley in 2003 where Manuel pulled Bartolo after 80 some pitches, and Angel was giving Zambrano EVERYTHING outside. Should've swept that one. I'm sure fathom remembers this too. Edited October 3, 2008 by santo=dorf
Soxbadger
The excuse is going to be that some guy in the stands didnt let Alou make the play after Derosa didnt get the DP. Oh wait im mixing games up.

Sadly, I married the girl

fathom
BTW, Torre's hit-and-run call with Loney in the 2nd was amazing. Loney is a huge DP threat, as he's hit into 27 this season. Combined with Zambrano's sinker ability, that was the perfect call.

whitesoxjr27
Pinella is being out managed again. Torre might be the key factor here. Edited October 3, 2008 by whitesoxjr27
DrunkBomber
QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Oct 1, 2008 -> 07:41 PM) Some real sour grapes on NSBB.com bcl412 third eye bcl412 I like the third one about playing the team with the worst record. Ironically, the Dodgers do have the worst record for the playoff teams in the NL. Actually, of all playoff teams.
RockRaines
Theres so many Dodgers players I wish we had. Martin, Loney, Kemp, Furcal, Ethier, Billingsly, Broxton etc etc. Wow

rangercal
Classic posts from the nsbb game thread Cubs - The biggest choke artists in the world, ever and I unfortunately was born and raised a fan. Later all. I probably won't be in here Saturday night. I have better things to do, like smash my testicles with a sledgehammer. Over/under on the inning in which garbage-tossing delays the game? Alfonso Sosa just sucked the big one. Maybe Lou should pull Harden from his Game 3 start....save him for next year I hate to say it, but if we get swept and/or lose this series, it'll be worse than 2003. Definitely not. 5 outs away from the World Series is as bad as it gets. i'm done with the chicago cubs for awhile. After this season i wont be watching next season. Our best year in 50 years is followed by a playoff first round sweep.AHAHAHAHA At this point I'm hoping for more Fukucopters. Boo him off the field, humiliate him, and hope he gives up and heads back to Japan. How do you say bust in Japanese? go back to japan you asian piece of trash. how hard is it to not swing at that? jesus christ
