Soxbadger
I know Genius cant read this but: The reason why it makes no sense is she isnt answering the questions, she is answering the questions she was prepped on. So the slight deviations make her answers seem off point. Biden on the other hand is just up there talking, half the time it feels like he is winging it. HuskyCaucasian
QUOTE (mr_genius @ Oct 2, 2008 -> 08:56 PM) ok that nuclear arms answer made absolutely no sense what the hell is going on the question was kinda odd though too.
Steff
QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Oct 2, 2008 -> 08:56 PM) That's what I meant by condescending. Yea, I agree I just wanted to make a specific point. It drives me nuts when she makes those dumb ass comments.
Soxy
QUOTE (mr_genius @ Oct 2, 2008 -> 09:56 PM) ok that nuclear arms answer made absolutely no sense what the hell is going on Yeah, I felt like I was taking crazy pills there for a minute. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Oct 2, 2008 -> 09:56 PM) That's what I meant by condescending. AHHHH!!! STOP SAYING NUKE_U_LAR!!! Its like she's a female, Alaskan Dubya. I feel that too. HuskyCaucasian
Palin tried to fight back on the Afghanistan surge idea. Approval didnt move an ounce.
Steff
I've read that comment from McCain several times... I hope he nails her if she tries to deny it.
HuskyCaucasian
On that nuclear question: It's such a broad, general comment. A nuclear Iran situation might be differant than a nuclear North Korea. There is no good answer in my opinion.
Soxbadger
Another huge problem for Palin (and this isnt her fault) is that Biden probably knows McCain better than her. How many times do you think Biden and McCain have worked together, gotten votes for each other, etc. Palin has known McCain for a few months, Biden has been working with him for years... NorthSideSox72
QUOTE (Soxy @ Oct 2, 2008 -> 07:58 PM) I feel that too. Seriously. I've said before, and I believe it, McCain is NOT Bush. Sarah Palin, however, really is like an arctic female George W. Bush. The folksy, oh I'm Joe Six Pack spiel makes me ill. OK Joe, WTF is a "Bosniak"? HuskyCaucasian
I missed part of the Afghanistan debate, TPM says this: "Did Palin just get the name wrong of the top US General in Afghanistan?"
NorthSideSox72
Big mistake bringing up the Alaska Permanent Fund by Palin. If Joe is smart, he'll bring up what the Perm Fund is - its oil money.

Soxbadger
She called him Mcclellan... I dont know if thats fact or not, I do know that if you search Mcclellan youll find a Civil war general.
Balta1701
I'm reading that Palin may have missed the name of the top general in Afghanistan despite trying to say it.
Soxbadger
Dear Governor Palin, John McCain was never involved in a war. Vietnam is considered a conflict, there is no such thing as the Vietnam War as war was never declared. Nor am I sure that historically America won that war... (Edit) She said General McClellan or at least thats what I heard. I recognized it immediately as I was like "that really cant be his name cause thats a famous civil war guy." McCain has said on the record that HE won the wars in Kosovo and Bosnia Couric: "You have said 'I know how to win wars.' Which wars are you referring too?" McCain: "Bosnia, Kosovo, First Gulf War, the Conflict in Iraq.... to name a few. I've been engaged in every single one of them. I am in the decision making process as of the senior members of the armed services committee. Am in engaged in the debates on the floor of the united states senate." Bosnia and Kosovo were run by General Wesley Clark... not John McCain.
