The Ginger Kid
curve ball right down the gut. Yeah Nick, b**** all you like. That ball should've been swung at.
spiderman
He was clearly looking for Ball 4. That looked like Strike 3 to me. You have to swing the bat on anything close. He didn't, and TB on the verge of being up 2-0.
zenryan
well you cant get anymore lazier than that. 6 pitches, 0 swings.

BlackBetsy
Even pro-Rays Reynolds acknowledges that Howell got silly calls that inning. I like Dye-Konerko-Thome against Wheeler in the ninth if the Sox can hold the Rays in the 8th. I gotta good feeling.

Some of those calls this inning weren't even close. Ozzie just bent over and took s***ty umping this last week. If I answer your question, you have to change your avatar. Okay- they love him because "he is a good clubhouse" guy and he's funny and good with the media and keeps people relaxed and all that BS. Otherwise- he's the biggest disappointment of the year for the Sox IMO.

The Critic
Yes, some of those pitches were not strikes, but especially with two strikes you can't be looking for an ump to save you. If it's close enough to be called a strike, even incorrectly, it's close enough to take a swing at. Stand up there with the tying run on base and you take 6 pitches and never swing once? Bulls***. You have know idea what you are talking about. according to the zone on tv and gameday I have counted 8 pitches the last 2 innings that were called strikes that were really balls. chimpy2121
Stop blaming the f***ing umps. It happens in every damn game. Sometimes it hurts us, sometimes it helps. Maybe you guys should actually blame to people who are really at fault, the hitters. Wait, of course not. Some of you will never do that. Who am I trying to kid?
