TheBigHurt
"It seems that you have to be a physics professor to choose the right TV. Luckily, I am one." I seriously hate that commercial. TBS really needs to stop being so repetitive. This is almost as bad as that one year when we got all those Joan Cusack commercials on CSN. She pissed me off so bad she made me, a 22 year-old grown-ass man, punch my TV once... or twice.
Sox It To Em
Now our guys are swinging at everything. So much for the plan at being patient. Edited October 3, 2008 by Sox It To Em
fathom
QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Oct 3, 2008 -> 11:57 PM) were swinging for the fences again. When do we not? It's just something you have to accept.
Soxbadger
Thome, Ramirez, and AJ dont have great plate discipline anyways. Imo Kazmir still has looked the same, just went up against free swingers who arent taking pitches.
max power
This crowd is sad. Most of the people won't even stand up.

nitetrain8601
QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 3, 2008 -> 04:58 PM) Here comes a 10 pitch inning. I'd much rather see Price come in than Kazmir. Price is one of the worst pitchers on Tampa's roster. An unknown pitcher with great stuff. I'm pretty sure he'd strikeout 10.
Soxbadger
Thats why our good work earlier getting Kazmir's count high was so important because some players on the Sox refuse to take first pitch regardless of how wild the pitcher is. Every one of those batters swung first pitch, each of those pitches was a ball. Thats inexcusable. Edited October 3, 2008 by Soxbadger

Reddy
and w/ Uribe, BA and OC next inning it's probably another 10 pitch inning... stupid.
fathom
Kazmir looks significantly worse when pitching from the stretch.
Soxbadger
Some of these players need to watch Manny take 2 strikes every at bat and still battle back to get good pitches. If a pitcher is struggling you cant help them by swinging early in the count.

He may not be against the majors, but you know as well as I how the Sox fair against pitchers they've never seen before, regardless of how terrible they are.
