My god is Uribe a bad hitter. WOW.

dumbest hitter in our lineup, swings at pitches that, by percentage (based on the count) won't even be a strike

example, an 0-2 or 1-2 breaking ball is, by percentage, not going to be a strike

he'll swing and miss on it because he thought it "looks" like a strike out of the pitchers hand

you just need to be smarter, especially being Uribe who needs to understand that his lack of patience plays INTO the hands of the pitcher

I can't imagine Uribe has seen many strikes over the plate lately, he just swings and fouls off balls or strikes out on them

Please, please don't bring him back.

his value is great for the defense alone, but not for the money he's making

he'll get a pretty decent contract (4-6m) from one of the smaller market teams

God I hope so.

It has to be.

Outside of Uribe and Cabs crap, that was a good inning. The middle of the order guys did a great job...they swung the bat well, were smart on the base paths, they didn't force anything (Wise's hit was awesome). We got 3 runs...that's pretty good against a pitcher with Garza's stuff.

But it does seem like clockwork Uribe and Cab would crap their shorts. Uribe swung threw a hanging breaking ball for strike two and strike 3 the ball wasn't close to being a strike. That dude is just a pure swing as hard as I can and hope the ball hits my bat hitter...I appreciate his contribution to 2005, but he needs to go.
