Balta1701
QUOTE (TheBigHurt @ Oct 10, 2008 -> 11:54 AM) Who won the game? I was without TV. The Phillies won.

Baines3
Dodgers are in trouble. Fortunately they are playing in L.A. now.
bjm676
I'm starting to like the Phils a lot. Especially Shane Victorino.
YASNY
I hope the Phillies sweep. Then either TB or Boston sweep the Phils. That will be two years in a row of the Cubs being swept by the team that was swept by the team that won the World Series.
Drew
QUOTE (Baines3 @ Oct 10, 2008 -> 09:56 PM) Dodgers are in trouble. Fortunately they are playing in L.A. now. I'll be at Chavez Ravine in just about eight hours, rocking the blue. I spent summers in LA when I was a kid and thinking Los Angeles was the coolest place on Earth, going to games with my cousins and listening to Vin Scully, whose vivid descriptions and storytelling of the game really impressed upon me its drama and aesthetic beauty at a very young age. And to this day, what resonates with me the most about the grand game are the traditions, the aesthetics, and the stories—sure, there are great stories in any sport but to me, none are quite the same as baseball. Now that I've been out here going on 4 years I wonder what the hell I was thinking about LA being so cool, although I love my neighborhood and a quick fix for a bad day is just to walk down Sunset to the Ravine and take in a game. And I hate to say it but...Chavez Ravine during a Cub series is one of the best places to pick up women. Waiting in the beer lines it's like a high school reunion for Midwest expatriates. Swingandalongonetoleft
Excited about the Phils, I just wish they didn't have to play LA cause I dig on them too, just a little less.

Brian
QUOTE (WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Oct 13, 2008 -> 08:17 PM) I just don't understand the decision to take Lowe out after only five innings. Me neither. He was absolutely cruising. Too bad Park has no control. Tie game.
zenryan
Pierre is making the most of his opportunity tonight. Kemp might be the odd one out for the rest of the series.
Brian
Victorino with a two run shot to tie it in the 8th off Wade. Didn't see that coming.

witesoxfan
The Phillies lineup and bullpen is just too damn good. Oh, and Werth is one of my favorite players in the game. I just love how he goes about his job.
whitesoxfan101
Matt Stairs is a joy to watch. He even admits his entire approach is to get ahead in the count and hit a long home run, which is awesome. He certainly did last night, that was as far as I've ever seen a ball hit at Dodger Stadium during a night game. This series is "OVA!!" I'd be surprised if Hamels doesn't end it Wednesday night. Felix
QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Oct 15, 2008 -> 08:18 PM) And the Phillies are going to face the Rays in the World Series. Who had those 2 in the pool? It's a 3-0 lead. As a person that's rooting for the Phillies, I ask you not to think this game is over, as it isn't.
