nitetrain8601
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Oct 6, 2008 -> 04:23 PM) Griffey has been one of the hitters who came to play this post-season. Cut him some slack...the guy's almost 39 years old. We can't expect THAT much out of him at this point. Exactly. He was supposed to be an addition to the team, not the main attraction and he's actually one of the guys who has showed up in the series and in the Twins series. Marky Mark
QUOTE (zenryan @ Oct 6, 2008 -> 04:21 PM) yes, one of my favorite sports games for SNES. The Expos were my team and they were the truth. The Mariners were unbelievable in that game, especially with the JR. auto homerun code

Then do something, a**hole. calm the s*** down, jesus. Turn the game off.
Jordan4life_2007
You missed the point, jenksy. Griffey in no ways made this a better team. He's just a name at this point.
G&T
QUOTE (zenryan @ Oct 6, 2008 -> 06:24 PM) old ass Dye can cut balls off but Wise cant get within 20 ft of them. It was explained to me yesterday that Wise is playing in left center because Griffey can't cover the gaps. Therefore, he is WAY off the line. southsideirish71
So whats next years big pickup. What over the hill aging superstar are we picking up for the stretch run. We are basically the reverse twins. They pick up their old men for the beginning of the season, and shed them. We pick them up for the stretch run. Both strategies are bad. caulfield12
QUOTE (rangercal @ Oct 6, 2008 -> 04:23 PM) It's mind boggling that our heart of the order hitters miss 88mph 2 seamers by a foot. The offense is just pressing...in the first inning or so, they were waiting for the curveball and hitting the ball pretty well. Now, down 3-4 runs, they are all trying to get too aggressive and hit 3 run homers with nobody on. It's the problem with a power-oriented line-up, we don't have enough singles and doubles hitters to get on and set the table. The entire line-up starts to echo itself and even the "small ball" guys think they are HR hitters.
