Liptak says he can't make a single start next year for the Sox or they're responsible for his entire contract. I recall August being the earliest date for his return, so why push it? Again, we were fortunate that the Tigers and Indians imploded this year. That left the door wide open for a team that wasn't really all that to get into the playoffs.
