Beckett is as clutch a playoff pitcher that there is in baseball, can't see him give up many more than he already has,the Red Sox will show the youngsters from Tampa that the post season is a whole different beast, don't matter what you did in the regular season, put up or shut up time.Bosox in 6 and Im being generous.

Cliff Floyd says "That's 5".

I was at Game 2 with my wife and kids on Saturday and it was awesome, real intensity from the newfound TB fan base. I hope they contend for the next couple of years because It's great to finally see some fan support in the Tampa Bay area.

That said, boy do I wish it was a White Sox ALCS game I was at. :crying It ups the envy I have for all y'all who got a chance to see the 2005 ALCS and WS games live.

Here's to TB hopefully taking at least one at Fenway and bringing the series back to Florida. :cheers

BJ Upton trying to make the White Sox pitching staff feel better about itself.

Wow, the Rays are not impressed that the Red Sox haven't lost a game at Fenway that Lester started since April. Anyone watching the game? Is the wind blowing out?

We and Houston are of course the 3rd and 4th largest markets, and we were 3rd to last in all-time ratings. Boston and Colorado last year were last.

Outside of MLB offices, the number of people who reasonably should care about World Series ratings should be very close to zero. Compared to the other sports, playoff TV ratings make up a dramatically smaller fraction of their expected revenue. Baseball's finances and health should be judged by 1 thing and 1 thing alone; attendance figures.

Upton's lack of power this season was baffling, especially considering he sluggled a little over .500 in 2007. It's unfortunate he found the power stroke against us, but he clearly has really found it. He's been a good player the last two seasons, but this postseason could really vault him into superstardom, a realization of his full potential, and a great 2009 and beyond. As for tonight, Sonnastine vs. Wakefield is just about impossible to predict IMO. One thing is for sure though, Boston BETTER win. They've got enough problems with Beckett pitching hurt, but to fall behind 3-1 with potential games 6 and 7 in St. Petersburg might be too much for even them to overcome.

It hasnt been baffling, Upton had a seperated shoulder in May and has rotator cuff damage. They talk about it almost every time he comes up to bat in the playoffs. He needs surgery when the season is over

Anyone on here still believe Alexei Ramirez was the best rookie in the AL this year? Evan Longoria is a monster. 5 HR in less than 8 postseason games as a freaking 22 year old.

The emergence of Longoria is crazy...reminds me of Braun last year, except that instead of not being able to play defense, Longoria plays ridiculous defense.
