Give me Orlando Hudson or Rafael Furcal.

1) Furcal, SS

2) Ramirez, 2B

3) CQ, RF

4) Konerko, 1B

5) Dye, DH

6) AJ, C

7) Fields or Free Agent, 3B

8) Swish, LF

9) Anderson/Wise, CF

I like the top, hate the bottom..

I'd love a shot at Chipper Jones and Furcal.

Jones, Dye, and PK can rotate at DH.

I like most of your suggestions. Would love JD to DH and get rid of Thome.

Would kill for a better CF solution though. We're in the best division for Cfs and all we can come up with is BA/Wise? *puke*

Yeah, I really think Furcal would fit well on this team and should be Kenny's top target. I'd presume he could play 2B?

Furcal began his professional career as a second baseman with the Gulf Coast Braves in 1997, but switched to SS in 1999. I wouldn't be suprised if we simply had the Missle play 2B for 2 or so more years until Beckham's ready. (assuming we get Furcal)

Why move him? He's good at SS and Ramirez has done GREAT at 2B.

No he hasn't. He's been mediocre at best. He's made a few great plays but overall he's been below average at the position and I don't blame him, he's never played 2B before.

He's had a few "out of position" plays. But in general I think he's done terrific. He's still learning. I think his ability to turn a double play makes it worth keeping him at 2B if we can land a solid SS.

He also can't handle of relay throw, has shown surprisingly poor range and has booted more than his fair share of ground balls. His arm is his only above average fielding tool at this point and that would be better utilized from the SS position. Having a well above average arm does not make him "terrific", it made him passable. That being said, he's still learning the position and if the Sox acquired a SS I'd have no problem leaving Alexei at 2B.
