:lolhitting Are you serious? My Dukies are going to destroy the Salukies.

:headbang

Just like the Bills are going to the AFC title game. The Salukis may very well lose, and it is very probable, but I dont think they will be destroyed.

There's really no reason I like Duke. I guess I've just always liked them?

As for USC- when I was 9, I went to a USC game in LA when I was there on vacation with my family, and fell in love with everything there- the stadium, atmosphere, the FIGHT ON song, and the sea of red. Then again, nobody ever believes me and continues to call me a bandwagoner, so if you do that, no hard feelings.

Unless you went to Duke or maybe live in NC, cant call them your Dukies lol. Maybe if your parents went there, otherwise definite bandwagon fan.

So since I've liked them since I was 8, I'm a bangwagon fan? Okay dude.

I root for all the programs at NIU and Illinois, but I definitely pay closer attention to the non major (sports other than basketball and football basically) programs here at NIU. I think that's natural though since it's my actual school and I know more athletes here, whereas I just have rooted for Illinois since I was a little kid.

For about 12 years, USC couldn't beat Notre Dame. If I truly was a bandwagon fan, I could have just stopped cheering for the Trojans then. They didn't win a national title in the 1980's (but they did win Rose Bowls) so that couldn't have been a reason I just loved them. As a young kid, it was my first college game ever. I stuck with them. Now since they're good, it seems like I'm a bandwagon fan, but they weren't nearly as dominant in the 80's as they currently are.

LOL, stop defending it, They are gonna keep razzing you until you stop. Bandwagon fans cheer just as hard as born-and-bred fans ;)

LOL, you better hope Osiris has another year like he did last year.

He will, plus we've got Champ Oguchi who transferred from Oregon for his senior year after starting there for two years. Our wing play is by far the best in the conference. Right now, we just have to hope someone can step up and do an adequate job of running the point without Boo Richardson. Easier said than done though. Oh, and that was not necessarily a shot at SIU. ISU is a a second rate team as well. Screw it, It was a shot.

Sometimes I find it hard to equate my love for my teams with someone who "chose" to be a fan.

I agree, which is why I don't feel the same way about the bears as I do about the Sox, Bulls, and Illinois St. Just never had the same feeling to it.
