NU was 9-28 from the arc against MSU, that's not why they won. The 18 turnovers for MSU were a far bigger reason, especially when NU only had 7.

I agree the turnovers were the big difference, especially considering the cats outscored us by 20 points off TO`s. Holding MSU to only a 2 point advantage on fast break points also was big. But in the 2nd half, NW was 5 of 12 from distance, and I believe that Moore hit 2 huge ones near the end. It is nice to see Northwestern and Penn State having some success after a bit of a rough road. :headbang

God Big Ten refs are so bad. A Purdue player ran into a pick and because he fell down the ref called it a trip. Everyone on the court was laughing because it was such a terrible call.

Was it Hightower? That guy is terrible. I was talking to a player on the Gophers today about him, and he basically said that Hightower was a terrible ref who thinks people are there to watch him instead of the game. I found it hilarious, and was also relieved that I wasn't the only one who thought that :P

Hightower drives everyone crazy, and he is not a Big 10 only ref.

When Ohio State was in Bloomington over the weekend, I was pretty unimpressed by Mullens. He had one or two flashes of athleticism and whatnot, but most of the time he was awkward and out of position.

He was not very good in that game. He clearly needs another year or two at the college level, but his family is poor and his potential may get him into the lottery. Buford and Turner are the clear stars on OSU and both have an NBA future, I just hope everyone sticks around.

Duke looks like major ass right now. Martynas Potius or whatever the f*** is taking 3's from the corner that are hitting nothing but the side of the backboard.

Like I said, athletic teams will give the Devils fits. Count on another 2 win and out tourny from Duke this year..

Haha, I remember when Pocious changed his commitment from KU to Duke, I was really pissed back then.

Oh look ESPN is showing previews for UNC /Duke already, gag

Believe it or not, this season really hasn't been as painful as our record would make it; I've had a lot of fun watching this group play. But it's super sweet finally getting that first Big Ten win under Coach Crean.

Most definitely. Not sure if they showed it on BTN or not (though apparently they showed me yelling "Fsck Yeah!" near the end of the game), but Crean said a few words to the crowd after the game, it was nice.

I love watching Duke get rolled.

So do I. God, I really do.

Btw, what the heck is up with college basketball this year??? Tonight, for instance, 3 top 25 teams got absolutely destroyed, particularly Wake and Duke.

Possibly the best win in my 4 years. I think Mizzou's plan is to make the opponents do retarded things. Texas looked bad. Mizzou didn't play their best though so it's ok. I'll take the great win. The Tigers would really have to s*** themselves down the stretch to miss the tourney now.

A win against Iowa State on Saturday, and the game against KU becomes one of the biggest games in recent memory, at least my three years at Mizzou. I will be more pumped for this game than any other game.
