Felix
QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Mar 4, 2009 -> 04:16 PM) Will Minnesota rush the court if they win? A month ago there was no way to possibly believe that Wisconsin could win. But things change, and I think that Wisconsin will find a way to eek this one out and make up for the horrible choke job at Madison. A win tonight and the Badgers start to guarantee a NCAA berth. Nope. There was some talk about rushing the court, but no one did. I definitely would have if the other people did, two wins over Wisconsin is unheard of. Jimbo's Drinker
KU s***s down its leg and loses to TTech. TTech hit 14 3 pointers and did not miss anything. Thought they did win a share of the Big 12 title. Total mental diahrrea night. Allan Voskuil gets 35 pts on his senior night. I hate senior nght, haha Edited March 5, 2009 by Jimbo's Drinker

danman31
I just want to laugh at everyone who was so sure Missouri was overrated. That was the 2nd time OU has lost with Griffin this year. Shut up people, shut up. Also, go Northwestern. Big win at Purdue. Maybe they are back on the bubble. Add the fact that Kansas lost so Mizzou still has a 1% chance of splitting the Big 12 title and the Bulls won and this was a spectacular basketball night for me. Did not watch the game, but congrats on the victory. Thanks for giving us the Big 12 title, well at least part of it for now. Dude, the Sox beat the Cubs tonight also, that should help. I still don't see Mizzou getting out of the first weekend of the tourney.

I can see that argument, there is a way to beat the press. Mizzou is a mediocre half-court team so it's possible they get upset.

JuiceCruz16
Nice win on the road for the Heels on Va. Tech's senior night. Ed Davis was a beast on dee, and Ellington seems to be stroking it which is always key. Pitt looks impressive again running away from Marquette down the stretch. Kansas sleepwalks through a beatdown. Collins pregame comments about how sweet it is to celebrate a Big 12 title in an opponents lockerroom didn't work out so good. Any word on Taylor's injury? Oklahoma seems to have in a bit of internal trouble growing as of late. Padilla's recent suspension, Warren sat for being late for team functions, and then he seems to be pissed about the punishment. This could be a major issue with the dance right around the corner if they don't right the ship and get on the same page.

If they dont horribly choke away home games to Purdue & Illinois, they might have lock status right now. Now they probably have to win @OSU this weekend, and then make it like the finals of the BTT, with at least one win over MSU, PUR or ILL along the way. You are really good at home, congrats. You are still overrated and won't go very far in the NCAA Tournament. Mizzou's absolute best case scenario is sweet 16, and considering they are going to be ranked in the top 10 (or very, very close) heading into the NCAA tournament and have been ranked in that area for a long time now, yes they are overrated. Top 10 teams should be final four threats, and Mizzou is not, unless of course they play the NCAA Tournament games in Columbia, in which case you could make a Final Four run. And good luck with getting a share of that Big 12 title, Kansas won't get caught with their pants down twice. Mike Anderson will probably win the national coach of the year though, and deservedly so. Still doesn't change the fact Mizzou isn't nearly a top 10 team. Edited March 5, 2009 by whitesoxfan101

Definition of overrated actually. I might agree with you overall, but those 2 games don't scream overrated all by theirself. Hell, Carolina was beat at home by Boston College and they were beat by Wake Forest, (not mentioning the split with Maryland) yet they are ranked ahead of those 2 teams, is that the definiton of overrated?. Do you really think Illinois should be ranked ahead of Mizzou at this point? Really?

Northwestern is more enjoyable to watch then most of the Big 11 teams this year, but short of winning the Big 11 tourney they have no chance of going to the big dance. O for forever when it comes to N'western's efforts to participate in the NCAA tourney will continue, that is just an amazing stat. Never making it? Wow. whitesoxfan99
Ok so before I get called out for "blaming" the officials, Illinois has gotten some generous calls tonight and the officiating hasn't been bad for the most part. But what the officials are doing right now is exactly why I constantly say refs suck at their jobs. The refs went from calling a pretty loose game to literally calling any contact in the last minutes. And it came out of no where. Jones for PSU got called for almost nothing, then Tisdale picked up his third with almost no contact, and then Davis just got called for almost nothing. Called nothing in first half, and then called a foul seemingly every possession for a portion of the 2nd half. Penn St. got screwed on those 4 straight points, but they've had every chance in this game. Penn St. must be 0 for 20 on 17 foot jumpers from their big guy. fathom
Terrible coaching all around at end of Ill/PSU game. Illinois should have assured themselves of a 2 for 1, and Penn St. should have called a timeout when they got the ball with 20 secs left.
