Minnesota is back in the rankings, this time up to #19. Let's hope we stick around.. a win against MSU in East Lansing would be awesome, although highly unlikely.

IMO, Michigan State is overrated. They barely beat Illinois at home, they lost to Penn State, they got smoked by UNC and Maryland at neutral sites, and they lost to Northwestern at home.

I find it very likely that Minnesota beats the Spartans.

I find it very unlikely, but I guess we'll see.

Lol the fact you find it very likely Minnesota wins is laughable. I think Minnesota definitely has a legit shot but they are definite underdogs.

Minny is very overrated that high. 5 road games, not a single one against a tourney team unless you are counting Iowa. This also includes a loss at Northwestern.

The Louisville game was essentially a road game too, as it was at a neutral court. I'm not sure if you included that one, but I assume not since they are pretty obviously a tournament team.

I agree that we're slightly overrated (mostly because we aren't the 19th best team in the nation), but we just blew out Illinois at home by 23. We were #27 in the AP poll last week, and Illinois was 19. I don't think it's ridiculous that we moved to their spot.

I said they were very overrated in the polls, I didnt say it was ridiculous that they were ranked. They have 2 "good" wins in ULand ILL. Ill was at home and as you said UL was neutral. Minny has probably one of the if not the biggest home court advantage in the Big Ten, its a hard place to play. I would like to see them beat a good opponent on their home floor for me to rank them that high.

Game of the season, IMO, to be played tonight. UConn@Louisville. You don't have to be a fan of either team to get stoked for this one.

Um, yeah. I think UConn is pretty good. lol. That was a major ass whoopin' they put on Pitino's crew. Thabeet pretty much made up his mind that nobody from Louisville was going to do a thing in the paint. Dyson/Price/Walker thoroughly outplayed Smith/Sosa/Knowles. Adrien did what he pretty much always does. No debating who #1 is at least for the moment.

UCONN looks to be the clear favorite at this point to cut down the nets this year. Inside and out they seem to have all the bases covered, and with Thebeet patroling the paint on dee it will be a tall order to take them out. There are about 8 other teams with a good crack at 'em, but Uconn has to be the the favorite against anybody.

God Big Ten refs are so bad. A Purdue player ran into a pick and because he fell down the ref called it a trip. Everyone on the court was laughing because it was such a terrible call.

if you're talking about the one called against mullens it looked to me like he stuck his leg out as kramer tried to squeeze past him. i've seen worse calls than that.

also, i think mullens is a punk (or at least acts that way on the court). i was glad to see him "shush" the orange krush as his team got blown out. it's too bad a harris elbow didn't smack him in the face as a "welcome to the big ten youngin'"

It is possible you just want him on your team? And I'm not sure an uber-prospect with probably one of the largest upsides of any player in the conference needs a "welcome" broken nose because he's a freshman.

Not really. I don't think he's any better than Tisdale or Davis, but he does have one less year of experience. I just think sometimes his attitude comes off as being a punk. There's being confident, and there's being cocky.

I dunno, the Illinois game rubbed me the wrong way I guess. I also saw him staring down a player on MSU. Both times they were losing.

Mullens is significantly better than Mike Davis now. Davis has been a huge disappointment in Big 10 play (and yes, I know he was sick).

There goes your credibility. There isnt a coach in the country that wouldnt want Mullens on their team.
