Rex Hudler
Charlotte Box.... Good start for Yofu after the 1st inning... It would be nice to see Yofu st ay in AAA and Honel stay in AA, but doubt it will happen. Yofu deserves to be in AAA. Rex Hudler
Much better than Thursday night's meltdown..... Decent outing by Pacheco... perhaps he was off just enough that the Rangers scouts will pass on him, but I doubt it. He was hitting 94-95 again last night. Reed only has two hits in his last two games. Something must be wrong. LOL Congrats to Mr. Bullard on his first save. Last night was also Vida Blue bobblehead doll night. Vida was there signing them and hanging out. He was really cool. whitesox61382
Anyone know what kind of stuff that Castro, the relief pitcher recently promoted to high A ball, has? I have kept an eye on this kid after he put up solid numbers at Kannapolis and was promoted. Since his promotion he has an ERA in the 1's. His overall numbers are pretty impressive as well: low BA against, low walk total, high strikeout total, ect. Relief pitchers rarely are considered top prospects, but if this guy continues to have sucess he might be a guy to keep an eye on in the near future. Does anyone have any info on this kid? Guest JimH
Julio Castro ... he was converted from a position player to pitcher about 2 or 2 1/2 years ago. His out pitch is the slider, a hard biter. Decent moving fastball too ... 91-93 tops. Supposedly the right make-up for a reliever too ... fearless, wants the ball with the game on the line. I think he's 22 years old, not positive. danman31
That Great Falls lineup is just stacked. It's good to see some young hitting in the minors. We need it bad. Not much up there on the higher levels. A few guys, but there is always room for more.
Cerbaho-WG
Just wait until Sweeney gets down there. The quote I loved best about Sweeney was along the lines of this: "I like using Wood more than Aluminum." Rock on!
