NorthSideSox72
CNN calls Hagan in NC as well. Looks like Dole's disgusting ads backfired. KY senate - McConnell/Lunsford - too close to call Shaheen well ahead of Sununu in NH (56-41) with 10% in.

mr_genius
QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Nov 4, 2008 -> 07:33 PM) KY senate - McConnell/Lunsford - too close to call FOX calls it for McConnell. FOX also called a GA Chambliss win. Dems need to run the table on the rest of the Senate seats which are winable to get to 60. VERY GOOD NEWS

The Bones
Keep an eye on the Mississippi Senate Race Musgrove vs. Wicker. The fact that Miss hasn't been called for McCain gives me hope that the Dems could still get to 60 seats if they win that one.

NorthSideSox72
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 4, 2008 -> 08:24 PM) Most places have called it for him. CNN seems to be a bit more cautious, and that is what I am watching. Interesting that 2 Udalls (cousins) will be in the Senate now.

I've thought that for a while. On Many isssues, there are cross overs. So, even 57 or 58 is a very strong majority.

I don't think you'd see one supported by Obama. Look for him to push his tax cut, a jobs program, and some ethics reform packages. Nothing earthshaking, just stuff to make stuff happen. Obama will be a boring president. That's what matters.
