Chisoxrd5
Best bargain on that list - Marlins 25 -1. I mean it's all but a guarantee they're going to win this year. 1998 - 2003 - 2008. Year of the Fish.

I mean it's all but a guarantee they're going to win this year. 1998 - 2003 - 2008. Year of the Fish. How? They won in 1997, not 1998. Plus, the Phillies won in 2008. If anything, it's 1997 - 2003 - 2009.

max power
Hard to bet when you don't even know who will be on each team.
caulfield12
Well, another way to look at it is we're tied for 12th with the Cardinals and Blue Jays. I just don't understand any of the fascination with picking the Indians or the Tigers over us...and logic would say that Blue Jays would have a MUCH tougher time just getting out of their own division, let alone advancing in the playoffs. I mean, they'd have to beat either New York, TB or Boston just to make it. And the odds are they'll be losing their #2 starter in Burnett in the process of starting off in that quest. Not likely. claydude14
Anything team projected as middle of the road or better always has potential to win the World Series in my opinion. It's baseball. Sometimes even the lower projected too. Look at the 08 Twins and Marlins who played unbelievably over their heads. The Tigers were crowned 08 World Series Champions this time last year and finished in last. Parity is great unless you're a Pirates fan I guess.
