Joel
and he steals 3rd off of Cotts and Joe Mauer. Did anyone here who the other guy that the White Sox were and are unwilling to trade when they are making trades. Gammons said one was Cotts, but he I didn't here who the other one was. southsider2k5
Kris Honel I would guess... anyone else know for sure. Now Cotts with two straight K's, two down.
SoxFan1
Wow, Cotts really looks like a big-league pitcher out there. And how bout USCF! It looks awesome. I love the star in CF.
southsider2k5
Well right off the bat my impressions... I can see why he throws a lot of pitches. He doesn't come anywhere near the middle of the plate. He works the corners and up and down really well, but he also nibbles a lot.
Chisoxfn
Cotts has thrown two really good inside fastballs that weren't called. I really like the way he moves everything around. And I was shocked to see his velocity as high as 92.

I think it was Jeremy Reed and Honel and Cotts. I don't think there was a list of two. Those guys are untouchable imo.
aboz56
Too bad the place isn't packed, it's reportedly only about 60% full.
Cali
I can see now why Cotts only makes it into the 5th and 6th inning, he throws a lot of pitches. He looked good though.

Rex Hudler
The outing was pretty typical of Cotts. Lots of pitches, not too many guys getting good wood on the bat. Lots of K's. He is very good at climing the ladder like he did in his second strikeout. Can't figure out why they are mispronouncing the USA lead off hitters name... It is KRynzel as in Crin-zel, not Kin-zel. He did look solid and his velocity was in the low 90's. That's definitely a good sign.
Rex Hudler
Krynzel and JJ Hardy (the #9 hitter and SS for USA) are both Brewers prospects and can both really play. The Huntsville team is loaded with good young prospects for the Brewers.

That is why his K numbers are so impressive. he is a pitcher not a thrower.

Rex Hudler
Shows you what I know......... I thought VanBenschoten was a lefty. Someone mentioned the star cut in the grass earlier...... My understanding that is the first time there has been a different design cut in the grass at Comiskey/USCF in many years. Heard Roger Bossard never changes his cut from the basic checkerboard you always sees.
