Around 11 a.m. Sunday morning, M.Martin followed another motoneigist (snowmobile) on the lake Kanasuta when the ice yielded between the two before disappearing under the ice. Pit Martin played 1101 matches in the National league with Detroit Red Wings , Bruins of Boston, Blackhawks of Chicago as well as Canucks of Vancouver. He piled up 809 points.
