Selected by Fall League managers, coaches, and administrators, the Top Prospects Team identifies the players who distinguished themselves throughout the league's seven-week 2008 schedule against other top prospects from every organization in Major League Baseball. Voters were asked to consider Fall League performance and Major League projectability. Gordon Beckham (CWS) -- Peoria Saguaros Hit .394 to rank sixth (t-Rhyne Hughes) in the league ... posted the league's top single-game offensive performance with a five-for-five day that included seven RBIs ... he scored after all five hits, making him responsible for 12 runs. Tyler Flowers (CWS) -- Mesa Solar Sox Fall League home-run leader (12) ... also led the league in slugging percentage (.973) and OPS (1.433) ... hit .387 to rank eighth ... week three Player-of-the Week ... three-homer, seven-RBI game ... 73 total bases ranked third.
