JuiceCruz16
Count me in the screw B&B crowd. They make my ears bleed that's why I refuse to tune in to the blowhards with very little sports knowledge.
The Critic
QUOTE (Brian @ Dec 11, 2008 -> 02:11 PM) Thanks...oh. Hey, if it makes you feel better, you're somewhere on the list of my favorite Brians. Paruch's ahead of you, but you're somewhere on the list ahead of Boitano. Hey, it's better than being below Boitano!

Bernsteing clearly knows more then your average radio bear.

fathom
QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Dec 11, 2008 -> 06:45 AM) I can't stand Mac Jurko and Harry, they are like the stereotypical Chicago sports fans. I love Waddle and Silvy, and I think the perspective Mully and Hanley bring as sportswriters is a very good listen, especially in the morning. But B&B is the best show by far IMO, I mean their two "sidekicks" in Drinky and Goff are both hosts I like, let alone in the roles they are for that show. Plus I love the "schtick" B&B have. I wish Drink and/or Goff would get their own show, but that's for another day. I used to like Laurence Holmes a lot more, but since he got his own show (well, and teamed with Dan Hampton, who sucks big time), I am not as big a fan. He seems to have changed a bit in the last several months, and that is unfortunate. Jurko is such an ignorant ass. I don't think I've ever heard an intelligent thought from him. My 4 most annoying Chicago media members are Jurko, Murph, ZZ, and David Kaplan.
SoxFan562004
QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 11, 2008 -> 09:24 PM) Jurko is such an ignorant ass. I don't think I've ever heard an intelligent thought from him. My 4 most annoying Chicago media members are Jurko, Murph, ZZ, and David Kaplan. McNeil (sp?) and Murph are far and away my top two. McNeil brings very little to the table for me. B & B can be hysterical and can be annoying, so I just turn them off when they are annoying. I think they tend to purposely play it up on the air, I've met Bernstein a few times and he's one of the nicest guys I've ever met and my brother in-law knows Boers and he said he's nice and has a saracastic sense of humor. I love Jason Goff. Lawrence Holmes is very good and has developed a lot over the years, unlike Jonathan Hood. Don't get me wrong, i think Hood is actually OK, but I think he hasn't grown over the years. Abadacola (I'm butchering the spelling) did about a 2 and a half hour post game show for the Bears last night that was epic, he just laid into the meat heads and about halfway through stopped screening calls. It was hysterical.

He hates those guys eh, not so much because they won, those tend to come out when they lose. It was more of the "Orton played a good game because they won, don't look at the numbers" and "Hester is developing into a #1 receiver" type calls, which is his new favorite

I am SHOCKED than anyone can stand that idiot. He panders to the idiot cub fan, which there's enough to keep him kicking. I 2nd hand that he did a segment this week about how the Cubs would have the best pitching staff of all time if they got Peavy. That's pure Cubbie pandering

Nobody looks comfortable in the new roundtable/no news desk format They looked uncomfortable in that format too. They never know when to look at the camera or when to look at each other and then Kaplan will bring up some lame ass point and the writers will give him crickets for a moment and give some awkward comment when they wrap their brains around it.They are writers for a reason and he is a radio host for a reason, there is NO place for them on television.Dont get me wrong, some writers do succeed on TV but very few.
