clujer420
About the only thing they're doing right at the AS game. Congrats Esteban, you sure as hell deserve it! (mugs full of OJ and Stoli, not piss water, otherwise known as beer)

Big Irish
Well deserving as he should be at least 13-2 if he ever got any run support.
clujer420
Well deserving as he should be at least 13-2 if he ever got any run support. Easily. He's got 16 quality starts, most in the majors.
danman31
It's great to see Esteban starting. He deserves it and if we can't get him 20 wins this season it's a travesty. He already has 16 quality starts and only 11 wins!!
BridgeportHeather
Hell f***ing yea!!! I can't wait to hear the cheers he and Maggs (especially Maggs) are gonna get from the crowd tomorrow night!

southsider2k5
1959 just remember 1959...the last time a Sox player could say he did the same thing Esteban will be doing Tuesday night. and we got him for a minor league contract with an option for $500,000 for this year. You know there are 29 other GM's kicking themselves for that one.
SoxFan1
This is great! He really deserves it! He only had 2 bad outings all year. Finally, Scocia makea a good choice!
southsider2k5
http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/gen/wire?...sageId=17249254 Jason Schmitt will start for the NL. Darn I was hoping to see Wood start against ELo for an all Chicago all star game.
clujer420
and we got him for a minor league contract with an option for $500,000 for this year. You know there are 29 other GM's kicking themselves for that one. Isn't it $500,000 for him making the team out of ST, and an additional $500,000 that he can make in incentives? I seem to recall that being part of it, and he'll certainly achieve those incentives if he has even a mediocre 2nd half. Either way, $1M for a pitcher that's done as well as Esteban has is an absolute steal.

MurcieOne
Wood is a good pitcher with a low era...... and he leads the league in strikeouts.... he's an all-star.

Chisoxfn
Do you think he should have been chosen before Dontrelle Willis? Yes, I feel Wood deserved to be in there. Him and Prior have been excellent. Willis has been great too, but Willis should of got in over someone else. Wood deserved to be there.
witesoxfan
You know what's a f***ing travesty? Eddie Guardado being there. Guardado has sucked big time this year. Don't let his stats fool you. He and Hawkins have b****ed about their contracts and the fact that Terry Ryan will not make extend their contracts or something like that. Ever since those two did that, the Twins have been losing. Hunter should be there just for his defense, let alone that fact that his numbers are very similar to those of Carl Everett.
CubKilla
Wood is a good pitcher with a low era...... and he leads the league in strikeouts.... he's an all-star. He's also 8-6 with a ton of walks. Willis deserved it more but Dusty never saw him pitch
