ChiSox_Sonix
My brother and sister are both in the middle of obtaining their master's degrees...Sunday we were all at my parents house for dinner and I forget how, but someone mentioned the Magna Carta. They both thought it was written by the Pilgrims when they landed in Plymouth. I just shook my head...
shipps
I watched the short documentary on the Rise and Demise of Steve-O last night. I always thought he would die very very young cause you knew the guy was completely out of control but too see him in action was still shocking. He is soooooooo lucky he still alive, the guy did so much Nite Oxide I am suprised he isnt floating like a balloon right now. He looked and sounded like a different person in the interviews now so I hope he can keep up living the straight and narrow.

Kinesiology for one, Speech Pathology for the other. I had two majors in college, one was in History with a focus on the Middle Ages, but it just amazes me what I think should be common knowledge and learned in middle school that people just don't seem to know. I didn't think that would be an "obscure" document
FlaSoxxJim
QUOTE (LosMediasBlancas @ May 18, 2009 -> 01:38 AM) I'm going to South Beach, Fl. next week for 5 days. It just kinda fell into my lap. Any 'must do' tips? If you have any interest in Tiki culture, urban anthropology, or crazy good rum drinks, Mai Kai in Ft. Lauderdale is a most-do. It is the last of the great Tiki Palaces in the entire country from the 1950s-1960s heyday.

NorthSideSox72
Off the flow... I got a flat tire while riding the bike to work this morning (I ride pretty much every day in spring-fall). Broke my tire tool trying to change the tire, ended up doing a bus-walk thing to get downtown, big pain in the ass, etc. So then I try to find the nearest bike shop downtown. There is not a bike shop in downtown Chicago. There is one at like 1200 S. Michigan, another one way out at like 900 S Des Plaines by the Dan Ryan, and some in Streeterville - but not a single one in the loop or even near the loop. Downtown is the place more bikes ride to during the day than anywhere else. How in the hell is there no bike shop down here?

Brian
Got a speeding ticket today for the first time in my life. I almost want to go to court to dispute but am just gonna pay it. Kinda BS. 65 in a 55 on a highway with about 10 other cars around me. I was in the right lane behind another driver and actually had gotten passed myself, 5 seconds earlier. Had no clue how they picked me out since I was just within the traffic at the time. Whatever.

juddling
Of all the things for a porn star to die from....i wouldn't have guessed heart disease.... LOS ANGELES -- An autopsy has revealed that adult film star Marilyn Chambers died of the effects of a cerebral hemorrhage and aneurysm related to heart disease. The Los Angeles County coroner's office released the results of toxicology tests Monday. The tests also indicated the presence of two prescription drugs in Chambers' system, but not in excess amounts. An autopsy was performed on Chambers April 14, two days after she was found dead at her home in the Los Angeles suburb of Canyon Country. She was 56. Chambers helped bring hard-core adult films into the mainstream when she starred in 1972's "Behind the Green Door." Her appearance in the film cost the then-aspiring model and actress her job as Procter & Gamble's Ivory Snow girl.
