Off the flow...

I got a flat tire while riding the bike to work this morning (I ride pretty much every day in spring-fall). Broke my tire tool trying to change the tire, ended up doing a bus-walk thing to get downtown, big pain in the ass, etc.

So then I try to find the nearest bike shop downtown. There is not a bike shop in downtown Chicago. There is one at like 1200 S. Michigan, another one way out at like 900 S Des Plaines by the Dan Ryan, and some in Streeterville - but not a single one in the loop or even near the loop.

Downtown is the place more bikes ride to during the day than anywhere else. How in the hell is there no bike shop down here?

If you got some extra cash to play around with, sounds like it would be a fun bid-ness venture.

Top 5 cities where Americans are relocating:

1. Raleigh, N.C.

2. Austin, Texas

3. Charlotte, N.C.

4. Phoenix

5. Dallas

What going on in NC?

Don't I know this. Actually Fort Worth is growing faster. Fort Worth is going to overtake Dallas in population this year.

The metroplex is now the fourth biggest metro area in the country, it overtook Houston.

Why does this matter? Because everyone visits Fort Worth

Good to know about NC. Since Raleigh and Charlotte are both only about 3-4 hours from where I go to school, they could very well be places I move to after college. I love Austin. My sister lived north of there for a few years before moving to Houston, and I always really enjoyed going to visit. I would love to live there at some point.

As for as North Carolina goes... My roommate from last year is from Winston-Salem and he was always talking about how Charlotte was such a great city, especially for young people (his brother lives there), but I've never been there, so I always took his word for it. Must be pretty accurate if that many people are wanting to re-locate there.

Better still to pin the blame on alcohol.

Yeah, probably unfair to blame all the Jews. maybe you can just blame Can of Corn and call it a day.

Raleigh is actually an awesome town. My sister has lived in North Carolina for about 10 years, and has been just outside of Raleigh for about 3 years and I love going to visit her. My brother also just started going to NC State in Raleigh this year, so I guess he kinda relocated there, at least for most of the year.
