:lolhitting That happened?? That's hilarious.

Yup. The Onion ran this article, complete with graphics, about Congress wanting a new, retractable roof building. Then some paper in China did what many papers there do for their western reporting - they plagiarize (or really just copy) western pieces and title it their own, and publish it. Just happens that this particular dolt didn't realize the piece was parody. This incident was covered in the press here. Priceless.

I'm still a fan of Dennis Hastert calling it "Drafty".

So I did something incredibly boneheaded last night and deleted 450 GB of ripped DVDs from my network drive last night, because I was just trying to reset the password. Whoops. I didn't know it was going to reformat the damn thing...

Now I have the username and password sitting next to it on a post-it.

Police: Karaoke singer attacked over performance

From Associated Press

October 08, 2009 3:24 PM EDT

STAMFORD, Conn. - Police say a woman singing karaoke in a Connecticut sports bar was attacked by six other women who didn't like her performance. Five of the women were arraigned on assault and other charges on Wednesday in Stamford Superior Court. The other woman appeared in court Monday on the same charges.

Police say the Sept. 23 attack on the 25-year-old woman from Port Chester, N.Y., happened during karaoke night at Bobby Valentine's Sports Gallery Cafe in Stamford.

Authorities say the six women, all under the legal drinking age of 21, knocked the singer to the floor, punched her and pulled her hair. The victim suffered bruises and a chipped tooth.

The victim has said she was singing "A Dios Le Pido" by Colombian superstar Juanes when the violence began.
