ThunderBolt
Sad way for the USM-Tex game to end. No real solutions when your bullpen can't throw strikes.
Chisoxfn
I sure hope my Titans find a way to beat the Cavaliers. Lets go FullertoN!!!!
Wanne
QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jun 15, 2009 -> 11:28 AM) I sure hope my Titans find a way to beat the Cavaliers. Lets go FullertoN!!!! Didn't they save their ace for the 2nd game?....kind of backfired on them a little. ASU did the same thing...and luckily got by White. I like the Leake vs Texas matchup tomorrow. Chisoxfn
Ya, we saved our ace, but our rotation is young, a true sophmore and two freshman. They are all freaking good, but still, its the college world series. You guys are in great shape heading into game 2.
Chisoxfn
Ouch...my boys look done. Picthing collapsed in Omaha.

Chisoxfn
Would have been nice...at least they put up a fight. Still, really thought we had the squad to win it all so I'm dissapointed.
Wanne
Damn...LSU looks pretty tough.

ThunderBolt
The kid who's pitching for SO MISS, right now. Is a White Sox draft pick. He's having a really hard time locating the ball.
ThunderBolt
I’m enjoying watching “small ball” bunt happy Texas being pounded into submission by ASU.

danman31
LOL insert foot in mouth. Good to see the Big 12 do something in Omaha for the first time in a few years.
ThunderBolt
QUOTE (kev211 @ Jun 16, 2009 -> 10:37 PM) So I guess they didnt quite finish the job? I’m not giving the full on mea culpa. It wasn’t until Texas started hitting bombs that they got back in the game.
Wanne
I'm still a little bitter this am. Damn. Worst I've ever seen Leake. And Kipnis could have broken the game open in the 3rd with a base hit.
ThunderBolt
Arkansas and Virginia are playing a great game. A lot of missed chances for both sides, but entertaining nonetheless. My main complaint is that these games take an insane amount of time to be played.
dasox24
QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jun 17, 2009 -> 10:13 PM) Arkansas and Virginia are playing a great game. A lot of missed chances for both sides, but entertaining nonetheless. My main complaint is that these games take an insane amount of time to be played. Well, that was extremely frustrating as a person rooting for Virginia. They had so many chances with a guy on 3rd and less than 2 outs, and couldn't capitalize. Very frustrating... But, it was a good baseball game overall. And yes, for some reason these games take forever. Edited June 18, 2009 by dasox24
Palehosefan
Just wouldn't be June without UNC choking another CWS away.
ThunderBolt
Looks like this game won't finsh for anothe 10-15 minutes that'll make it about a 3:20 minute long game. Anyone know how long these things have been averaging?
Palehosefan
Tough way for the UNC seniors to go out. Most wins in history of college baseball for the class, 4 CWS appearance, and bupkus to show for it.
ThunderBolt
I really thought we were going to see an LSU-UNC finale. Just goes to show you that this is a crapshoot, sometimes the team with the best talent can't take you to the promise land.
Wanne
LET'S KICK SOME LONGHORN ASS TONIGHT!!! I'm assuming that Seth Blair takes the bump and if needed Lambson and Swaggerty in relief. Hopefully Leake will get another shot on Saturday. I could be wrong and Murph goes with Leake tonight. Don't think he should though. Kole Calhoun has been a friggin' best this CWS. You can tell he can't wait to get to the plate now. Maybe it was his interview with Erin Andrews? lol...
ThunderBolt
QUOTE (Wanne @ Jun 19, 2009 -> 12:58 PM) Kole Calhoun has been a friggin' best this CWS. You can tell he can't wait to get to the plate now. Maybe it was his interview with Erin Andrews? lol... He's in the C.J Retherford mold. The kid hit well enough at ASU to make what he's doing in the CWS impressive, but not extraordinary, and he wasn't even drafted.
Wanne
GODDAMMIT!!!!! Friggin ump squeezed Lambson to put him in a 3-1 hole against Rupp. But the dudes did hit it.... tough loss.
Jordan4life_2007
LSU is just too f***in' good. Arkansas had no chance (especially when you consider they went through just about their whole staff the other night against Virginia). Looking forward to the CWS final.
