Walking to class in the rain.

Or worse, having to walk back from class in the rain when you weren't prepared for it... Like today when it was 60 degrees and overcast (aka beautiful for January) at 7:45 this morning on my way to class, and then when I came outside 2 hours later, it was a torrential downpour. I was drenched by the time I got home.

why would it matter? different lanes, it shouldnt affect you either way

Because you'll see the guy in the left lane realize way too late that he needs to move over to the right so he can use his coins, which then slows down several lanes of traffic.

I drive slow near toll booths in anticipation of things like that happening.

Besides, they could be an out-of-towner, you never know.

I actually know friends who use the toll roads for work that don't have one. I'm astounded.

Yeah, I really don't know why someone would want to subject themselves to that. How long have I-passes been around, like 12 years now?

I have various reasons for not having an ipass, but mostly i dont make a lot of money and I dont want to overdraft because of an auto charge. Laziness plays into it as well, but it doesnt bother me to pay a toll. And I dont cross traffic to the toll booths, and I always have money ready at the toll booth.

So there!

Geographically I have a WalMart near my house, it is damn convenient, I pass by it a couple times a day. Normally it would be an easy and quick stop to pick up everything from dish soap to a 52" HDTV. But instead I've stopped going there. Why?

Because every adult day care center, every handicapable center, uses it for a freaking field trip. They never buy anything, the bus drops them off and they wander the store, drooling and blocking the aisles.

I hate shopping. I hate stores, particularly big and/or crowded ones, and I despise malls.

There are maybe a few stores I actually enjoy being in - Abt Electronics, REI... that's about it. Everything else, my pulse and blood pressure rise notably when I'm inside, and I want to get out as quickly as possible.

REI is more than a store . . . 5 hour drive to my closest one. I even let my membership lapse.

I'll remember to never give you a lift anywhere. :D

Come pick me up from work, drop me off at home, then drive back to Palm Desert. I get out of here in 50 minutes.

...oops, where are my manners? I almost forgot....PLEASE come pick me up, etc etc....

I hate people who are too lazy to wipe off the snow off their back window. Seriously, it will take you no more than 5 seconds to just dust off! God forbid, you can see out your back window when you drive on the highway, thats what they make them for!!!

My favorites are the people who chisel out a 2-foot by 2-foot square on their windshield to peer out of and leave the rest of ALL their windows caked in snow and ice.

Completely safe, completely legal.

Sounds like Dawn of the Dead. :lolhitting

It is so close. They bring a couple staff members and they sit in the McDonalds drinking coffee and meanwhile their "patients" and "residents" and tearing open packages, and starting conversations with everyone. Today one of their kids grabbed my cart to return it to the front where the 85 year old, I should have saved for retirement, greeter would say "nice job!".

And it is Winter Texas time so the damn trailer parks are full and they all come to "WalMart's" with their name tags and helpful suggestions that start "up north we . . ."

^ This. I hate, hate, hate the mall. The only store I will go into during the day, because I have to, is Babies R Us and thankfully it is during the day so it's not too bad. I grocery shop after 10pm and anything else I need that is more than a 5 minute run into Target I get online.

I hate the whole process of grocery shopping.

Sitting down to make a list of the stuff we need.

Driving there and spending 2 hours walking around getting all the stuff on the list plus any extra stuff that we happen to see and think it looks good.

Unloading the cart onto the moving belt so the cashier can put it into a bag and I get to put it right back into the cart again.

Loading all the stuff into the trunk.

Unloading all the stuff from the trunk to carry into the house. This is 10X worse in the winter because our shoes are wet and we end up getting the carpet and floor wet walking back and forth. Then later I end up with wet socks.

Putting all the stuff away into the pantry/cupboard/fridge.

I hate the refuse payment system they use in the western burbs. The use of garbage stickers in the western suburbs for paying for waste removal. The idea that every single bag of garbage or leaves needs have a 2.75 sticker on it is a joke. I just changed over to a flat fee for a toter. If you have any waste that fits outside the toter, you need to use a sticker still. I would rather a flat fee from the village that this scam.
