Steve9347
What are yours? I remember on the Thursday before the Super Bowl two years ago (so kinda two years ago today), I was looking forward to the huge Bears party my company was having the following day. Thoughts of the economy and tons of job losses weren't that big a deal, to be honest. I had just gotten married, and was house hunting as well. Wow, what a crazy two years it's been since then... I'm already off track. Anyway, everyone at work was nuts about the Bears, Rex Grossman still had a chance to shine, no Manning son had won a Super Bowl. What are some of your memories leading up to Bears/Colts?! Edited January 29, 2009 by Steve9347
kjshoe04
I was delivering pizza's at the time. Had to continually get the score from the people that I was delivering to. Even made a 20 dollar tip by telling someone I was a packers fan. ha.

Steve9347
Obviously, I'll never ever in my life forget the jubilation that ensued during Hester's kickoff return.
shipps
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 29, 2009 -> 02:48 PM) Obviously, I'll never ever in my life forget the jubilation that ensued during Hester's kickoff return. Really though, if I would have had that moment of my celebration recorded on camera during that it would have been one for the ages. Generations of shipps could have looked back in embarrassment. It probably looked like I was having a seizure.
Kyyle23
Up until the game against the Dolphins the Bears looked like a juggernaut. Rex was flinging the ball all over the place and the defense was jsut scary. Brown and Harris went down and the teeth went out of the defense, Rex got shaken up vs the Dolphins and he was never the same
Sonik22
I remember being at the NFC championship game against the Saints. That was easily the greatest time of my life.
rangercal
I was doing something crazy as usual http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_hb52...01/ai_n20749034 That story was picked up by the suntimes, daily herald, southtown and a newspaper in Terre Haute, Indiana, I was also interviewed by Eddie and Jobo twice and some show on the Loop. I even have a 10x40 foot nylon banner that was on the stadium. The day after the Superbowl I went to the stadium and asked for the lost and found (that helped me get past security) I really only wanted to walk around the stadium but then I seen the clean up crew tearing everything down and throwing things away. I could pass up the opportunity when I seen that monster banner. Don't ask me how I managed to sneak it out the stadium, but I did! Coolest souvenir ever! lostfan
QUOTE (Sonik22 @ Jan 29, 2009 -> 04:23 PM) I remember being at the NFC championship game against the Saints. That was easily the greatest time of my life. Somewhere I had a sig of someone's saved that showed the entire ESPN panel picking the Saints, for what reason I do not know but that was obviously an epic failure. I remember that happening, then Manning threw a TD and the Colts missed the XP, then Rex threw a TD pass to Moose. The Bears led 14-6. Then the game stopped. Nothing else happened after that. Right? whitesoxbrian
When they won the NFC title game, it was easily the greatest experience I've had as a sports fan, even greater then the Sox winning it all...sadly.

lostfan
I'm a bigger football fan than a baseball fan and always have been, although my interest in the NFL is gradually waning.
ThunderBolt
Devin Hester's kickoff return were some of the best 15 second of my life. Sadly, the game went downhill after that. Other highlights of the playoff run were Berrian's catch vs the Saints, and Robbie "good as" Gould's performance VS the Seahawks

Other highlights of the playoff run were Berrian's catch vs the Saints, and Robbie "good as" Gould's performance VS the Seahawks I was at the divisional and division championship games, and I'm not sure what my favorite memories are. I think the Berrian TD catch vs Seattle for like 70 yards or whatever- the throw was coming to me it seemed like. The safety against New Orleans was special. From there, even though it was then a 18-14 lead I believe, it seemed like the game was over.
lostfan
I fell asleep angry during the Cardinals game. Woke up ready to go to work, picked up my laptop next to my bed, and saw plastered on the front page of Yahoo something about the Bears and a historic MNF win. WTF.
