SouthsideDon48
Hey everyone, I'm planning on ordering flowers online for my girlfriend this year for Valentine's Day, and I was wondering if any of you can suggest any good reputable sites to order from. I'm currently thinking of ordering from this site: http://www.proflowers.com/valentines-day-vdf ...but I'm not sure if the prices there seem fair or not. I don't want to get anything that would look ridiculously cheap, but I also don't really want to go over budget too much either. I like the idea of ordering online since it'd be more convenient and I also have to have it shipped to New York because she'll be there during Valentine's Day. So yea, if anyone else can suggest any other sites or so, please let me know..., I'll also come back later and post links for the stuff I'm thinking of ordering, and you all can tell me what you think. Plus, maybe us dudes on this site can use this as a resource to help all of us prepare for Valentine's Day.
Brian
I've used 1800flowers.com quite a few times and they have been fine. They write great "I'm Sorry" and "Please take me back" notes.
Chisoxfn
This is a good thread. If someone has any nice deals, please let me know cause it would make my flower purchase for the lady much easier. Although I'm actually debating on whether I'll get flowers or not (I might go more with a potted type of plant because she seems to prefer something that would last as opposed to a think of roses that will ultimately just die). I know it might be tempting for you but dont steal a plant from the lobby of your office building.

LittleHurt05
QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Feb 2, 2009 -> 11:08 AM) Just don't send flowers in a box. That was easily the funniest commercial of the whole Super Bowl. I lost it when the flowers said "No one wants to see you naked"

RockRaines
Don, Proflowers generally send unblossomed flowers to the person and the flowers bloom after a day or two in their house. Keep this in mind as when they arrive they arent very pretty. ftd.com sends already flowered arrangements.

Thanks a bunch, dude.
LosMediasBlancas
Be more involved. Go to a flower shop in person and describe what you want. I don't know anything about flowers, so I'd always go with their favorite color and ask them to work around that. Another tip is to tell them that you want the bouquet to look full. In other words, more flowers that are less expensive instead of a few really expensive ones. I'm not sure why florists always want to give you four really expensive flowers and call it a bouquet.
