Yeah that 3.30 era, 1.03 whip (2nd in NL), 115 K's (1st in NL) in 92.1 ip (11th in the NL) sucks.

Sox fans expectations of Javy were always ridiculous because a fan favorite was traded for him. (Who is currently batting .204)

Also I believe part of the reason why CQ was available was Young took a spot in the OF for AZ.

That's cause he's pitching in the NL. :lolhitting

My basis for saying he looked crappy was that he got hit pretty hard by the Cubs that first inning.

Sooner or later, he's gonna revert back to his old self. If you remember, he was really good before June last season.

Im not getting the argument. You said that he looks "crappy" commenting on todays game and his statistics in the NL. He has been doing excellent this year and has much better stats than many other NL pitchers. Im not going to say that all pitchers will do great going from AL to NL (Barry Zito) because its just not true. I just dont see how you can say a player looks crappy when they are putting up great stats in their league.

Here is Peavy:

Era 3.97, 1.19 whip 92k's, 81.2 ip

There was a 100+ page thread about trading for him, notice every single one of those numbers is worse than Javy...

Im not saying Javy will continue, Im just wondering how you can call what he is doing "crappy".

Wouldn't suprise me at all if Javy kept this up, he's in a contract year. Some team will give him a huge payday in the offseason and he'll dissapoint them for 4-5 years.

Since the game that ended the White Sox season and provided the fire for the Cubs turnaround, the Sox are 4-2 and the Cubs are 3-4

Make that 4-3 and 4-4 now.

It will be interesting what happens with Milton Bradley. The only way this offense can live up to their potential is if he's a main part of it. For as bad as they've played, they're still in a great position to win the NL Central as long as Cards don't trade for offense and/or Milwaukee for a few pitchers.

It sucks that he's not going to be in the lineup tomorrow. I'll miss his bad swings and his strikeouts. Not to mention his boneheaded defense.

Who was beating on gator machines and arguing with Pinella in the clubhouse during the game today? I saw him talking about it on the postgame interview but I didn''t catch who he was talking about.

Bradley...it's funny that Piniella was b****ing about that, and then Marmol did the same in the 8th.

I'm surprised Piniella held his temper and didn't punch him.

I wonder how Oz would have handled Bradley. Lou said in the media he's looked the other way several times this season when Bradley has acted the same way and had enough.

I like Lou; I like Oz. City has some good skippers.

I think Pinella's gonna retire for good after this season. He just seems like he's just too old and tired to be worrying about this stuff anyway. Would love to see him on MLBN if he's gonna retire. He'd be great to have at their analyzer desk for MLB Tonight and assist in commentary for Thursday night baseball.

Who do Milton Bradley and Alfonso Soriano have pictures of? No way should Soriano be batting leadoff still and no way should Bradley be in the lineup everyday in the 3 hole.

I think the fact that they're being paid a combined total of $28 million this year might have something to do with it.

If Soriano is hitting .230 in the leadoff spot, he'll hit .180 in another spot. And Milton Bradley's mind is so screwed up that if you move him, he might hit .180 instead of .230 as well.
