idiot chris berman

It's kinda BS to boo someone at an AS game. I remember a couple years ago when the NBA AS game was in Philadelphia, and the fans booed Kobe Bryant. Doing it in a regular season or playoff game is one thing, but to boo someone at an AS game is pretty tacky if you ask me.

this f***ing idiot chris berman just said he was disappointed by sox fans booing cubs players, dusty baker, and yankee players.

used to like him... now he is a cocksucker for life.... f*** you chris :fyou

I didn't see it that way because all he said was that we can clearly see how White Sox fans feel about the Cubs and Yankees. Whats wrong with that.

Sorry I hadn't seen Sportscenter yet, and now I agree with you he is being an ass. Who cares if they boo, they paid there money to see the game so they can do what they want to do.

I didn't hear it, but Chris Berman doesn't seem the type to say he's "disappointed." He's a fan type of person himself. He understands how we are.

Yeah I didn't believe he said that either until I actualy heard it this morning.

Chris Berman should know better than anyone and understand how ruthless fans can be. He has been covering the NFL for years. Football fans are ten times as brutal as baseball fans. To honestly think White Sox fans would cheer for Dusty, Kerry, or Mark is asinine. I loved it. I loved it even more when they booed the Twins, Royals, and Yankees players. Chris Berman you officially have proved that you do not belong in a major league baseball stadium! Especially not in Chicago. If you ask me I would have been ashamed if they didn't boo. :fthecubs :sosasucks

The player is the same to me whether he's playing my team or playing in an all star game. I can't change my feelings on a guy and pull a 180 just because it's an all star game

Would it not be ok to boo Sammy Sosa if he was at the all star game this year?

Chris Berman is supposed to be the icon of the network, and the man knows jack s*** about anything that's happened in the last 10 years.. He knows only about the most popular players in the game (Bonds, Sosa, A-Rod). Have you ever seen him do Sportscenter? He'll like substitute names of old players from the 70's for the ones in the highlights. It's ridiculous.

Maybe he thought all Chicago baseball "fans" were like the mindless sheep that cheer for infield flyballs off corked bats over on Chicago's otherside of town  ?

They booed Jerry manuel too. So Berman needs to shut the f*** up!

So booing their own makes all of the other booing okay?

I will ask again, what is gained by booing players? Especially in an all-star game. It's not like they aren't trying to beat your team in the World Series.

hey, if you dont like a guy, even if he is an all-star, and you bought a ticket, its ok to boo if you wish.

player hating is one of the oldest traditions in baseball

besides, f*** that asshole berman.... what he said still pisses me off

No one said you didn't have a right to boo. I am just asking what it accomplishes. Does it make you feel better? Make you feel big?

I just can't comprehend why you would boo someone.

hey, to each his own.

you may have some behavior i dont understand. but as long as it does not adversely affect me... who am i to critcize?

i cannot explain to you why fans boo. a guess would be that they dont like the person they are booing. seems simple enough.

as to what it accomplishes... i suppose its intent is the opposite of what cheering accomplishes.

honestly, if i were you... i would not get worked up by this. :cheers

Rex, I think you are too sensitive on this booing issue in the all star game. I have heard real booing before, and what I heard Tuesday evening was pretty mild. It was so mild that it was almost good natured booing. Even the players booed (booees?) were laughing, because they could sense the slightly humorous vein in the light hearted booing of some traditional rivals.

I don't boo either; it's too much trouble, but it is a traditional way for some fans to express themselves.
