greg775
Anybody got a gut feeling? I really don't. I sort of feel like Detroit is going to split these next 2 with the Twinks.
Harry Chappas
I think they split the next two, the Sox take 2 of 3 and the Twins take 2 of 3. Twins lose by a game.
Jordan4life_2007
All I know is that either Detroit or Minnesota will get anally violated by the Yankees.
greg775
Poor Twinks. Two years in a row close but no cigar. They didn't play quite as well at home the first half of this year.
witesoxfan
QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 30, 2009 -> 11:34 PM) Poor Twinks. Two years in a row close but no cigar. They didn't play quite as well at home the first half of this year. their season isn't over yet. If they the last, then it's obviously over. All they can do from here is win out. If they win the last 4, Detroit has to beat the Sox once to force a playoff and twice to win the division. That means they have to beat the Sox in a series, and the Sox like to play well when they get eliminated.
knightni
Twinkies still fighting. The Sox get to help decide who wins the Central. Ugh.

As do the Royals. It's basically Twins/White Sox vs Royals/Tigers now.
greg775
Would like to see the Sox help out and beat Detroit. I'd feel pretty good if I was Leyland, though. That split vs. Minnesota wasn't bad at all for Detroit. Detroit averted disaster, though admittedly all of Motor City wishes the Tigers had wrapped it up at home today. Baines3
The Tigers might have hurt there chances by losing at home. I would prefer to see the Tigers win the division instead of the Twins but I'm not pulling against the Sox to help make it happen.
ThunderBolt
Anyone else getting amped for the Tigers series? I know we have nothing to play for, but it feels like we do.

knightni
I say, the Sox should try to set it up so they have to play a Game 163.

The Tigers would have to use Edwin Jackson wouldn't they? The Sox could potentially rob the Tigers of their top two starters for the 1st round of the playoffs. southsider2k5
Blackburn and Grienke are in a nice duel on Fox. Grienke with one walk through 3 IP and nothing else. Blackburn is perfect through 4.

Grienke with one walk through 3 IP and nothing else. Blackburn is perfect through 4. I can wait until the 7th inning...when there is a secret trade between the Royals and Dodgers...the Twins fans expect Yuniesky Betancourt to hit but then, wait.....THAT'S JIM THOME'S AT BAT MUSIC....bomb to center off of Blackburn, 1-0 Royals, Twins done for season. WilliamTell
Nice route to the ball Teahan. 3 run double for Young makes it 4-0.

santo=dorf
Twins need some strikeouts at the moment. Didn't realize how well Rauch was pitching for the Twins.
southsider2k5
Well at least Grienke is off of the hook for the loss. Man, he would have the Cy Young unanimously if it wasn't for the White Sox. He only could manage a 2-2 record, despite the 2.31 era. They hit 4 of the 11 homers he gave up this year too.

greg775
Even if the Tigers survive this, no Verlander for Game One. That is something the Tigers will regret. I still think they win the division; but no Verlander in Game One. Not good.
