IMHO after 6 1/2 years of Bush supporters getting bounced around, they can finally be on the offensive. There seems to be a lot of pent up energy. In general, the public will give Obama sometime to make things work. More than the 2 weeks the Republicans gave them. So they are attacking a publicly popular individual during a honeymoon phase.
