I know there a good amount of college posters on here, so where ya goin? I'm in my last year at ISU and like the rest of the college nation; most of my friends are going to Panama City. My roomates and I decided to take a roadtrip and head down to Corpus Christi, Texas. Any tips/recommendations on bars, restaurants, beaches?

I'm going to Destin with 8 of my friends. We have a very nice, beach-front house rented out (it's our friend's dad who owns it, so we got a good deal on it). Should be fun as I've never done the college spring break thing before. Last year my sister got married during my Spring Break and the year before I was broke as hell and had zero money to spend on a trip.

I'm probably gonna go to Majestic Star casino in Gary, Indiana to play a poker tournament, then check out the poker room at the new Horseshoe casino in Hammond on my way back home.

I never understood why some people feel the need to "party" on spring break, plus I'm much more happier being at the poker table than being in a strange land with a bunch of drunk college students.

Not for Spring Break but for this summer i'm debating whether to go on a cruise from Baltimore to the Bahamas or go to Costa Rica where my friends boss told him he could crash at his condo down there whenever he wanted if he (his boss) wasnt there. Costa Rica kind of sketches me out a little bit tough.

Panama city and Daytons are two of the strangest destinations for spring break. They are overflowing with Fla hillbillies and the only thing anyone does is cruise up and down the street or beach in Daytona's case blasting their hillbilly horribly tuned subwoofers with fat chicks in the back of their trucks. They cruise up and down and up and down and up and down the street ALL NIGHT. It makes no sense.

I wanted to volunteer my spring break to working in New Orleans doing painting, but they do not need unspecialized workers. Some friends wanted to go to Denver on a road-trip, but I'm not sure if I have the money or if I could spend time with a bunch of nerds who will reference movies or talk about gaming. I would LOVE to hop on a plane and go see the White Sox play ball, but I don't know any Sox fans who would go in with me, and I don't think that my Dad could go considering the economy. However, I will probably go do my job interview with the Morton Arboretum since I'm transferring from EIU to UIC next year and I would like to get some additional money in my bank account.

New Orleans with a school group working for Habitat for Humanity, only working 4 days so we get about a day and half free time in NO and all nights are open. I cant freakin wait, its about to be a blast and actually something meaningful, plus Ive never been there and I love to travel. Basically a perfect fit for me.
