SouthsideDon48
QUOTE (Kalapse @ Mar 4, 2009 -> 05:07 PM) There aren't many interesting players left for tonight's game. C: Pierzynski/Miller/Flowers 1B: Konerko/Broussard/Myrow 2B: Getz/Nix/Torres SS: Betemit/Santos 3B: Fields/Castillo LF: Wise/Kroeger CF: Owens RF: Dye/Restovich Getz, Nix, Fields, Flowers and Kroeger. Whoohoo! They're not gonna have players from minor league camp travel to Las Vegas so I doubt there will be any fun surprises like Jordan Danks. A Tyler Flowers sighting would be nice. I'm sure Owens will play all nine. Hmmmm, well I haven't seen much White Sox baseball since the playoffs last season, so I'll take whatever I can get. HEY!!! :-O They just showed Viciedo's home run on the news! AWESOME!!! Anyway... one thing I'm interested about tonight's game is watching Josh Fields' defense at 3rd base and seeing how much his batting (eyes) and baserunning (knee) might be improved. Also, I just got sent home from work because I was too sick, so it's gonna be nice to at least catch a game, and a little "Lost". Soxpranos
QUOTE (Cowch @ Mar 4, 2009 -> 03:59 PM) Dayan is SUUUUCH a beast!! We seem to have something nice with this kid. What good opposite field power this kid shows, I truly hopes he wins the 3rd baseman job.
Jimmywins1
Well isn't that great, Lilly has his best game of the spring (with a perfect bunt included) when Ozzie is out watching Owens. We are cursed.
elrockinMT
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 4, 2009 -> 11:47 PM) SO top performers: Lilly 3-5 Viciedo 1-3 with a walk, an HR and 2 RBIS BA 1-3 with a walk Danks 2-4 Allen all or nothing, 2k's 2 BB Cassel 1.2 IP 1 hit 3k's And most of the ex sox on the A's Lilly batting .357 on the spring Viciedo batting .364 On the other hand defense allowed four unearned runs: errors by Viciedo and Beckham. ST for sure, but hopefull this is just getting the rust off their gloves. We need good defense to win games Edited March 5, 2009 by elrockinMT

Jimmywins1
QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Mar 4, 2009 -> 09:02 PM) Who was managing the team today? Cora? I assume so, they were talking about all of the extra coaches and stuff, I doubt Ozzie would pass up a televised game.

RockRaines
If the team tanks it up this season, after the deadline this could be similar to what lineup we could possibly see.
JPN366
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Mar 4, 2009 -> 02:29 PM) Broadway through 2 IP, gave up a broken bat single to Carter. Allen got eaten up by low and away sliders against the LHP...tough match-up for him. Danks popped out, but made contact on his swings. Allen's raw and can tend to K a lot. But, when he gets a hold of one...good lord...
Cubano
Well, my boy responded to Fields's two doubles with a bomb. I am dissapointed he made an error. The kid is holding his ground so far.
