My new Sony Bravia was working just fine. I now have a vertical green line on the right side near the edge. Any idea how to fix this?

But won't solve the problem.

Sony's = Sharps but twice as expensive. I'd never buy anything but Samsung anyway. Not that that answers your question.

Through the use of Google.

Managed to sort it out a bit, it seems the carrier of HD signal here, Shaw.ca sends a odd signal. Somehow up-converted, to get 1080i and if you selected the Sony Bravia Screen to Full Pixel the green line appears and will be on all channels high, and low (if you turn off auto wide you will see it on 4:3). Solution is quite simple, reduce the Bravia screen to Normal instead of Full Pixel and you are fine. When watching Blu-ray or Gaming you can go to Full Pixel.

So maybe your HD signal is odd? Does the green line show up when you watch DVDs/Blue-Ray/play video games?

It could be the sizing of your picture. When I set my Sammy to just scan instead of 16x9 there was a green bar and I had to manually move the picture left. Try resetting your picture to default levels at first, then make the steps you made to get it to where you tweaked it. If not, google it on Avnet forums.

And like Steve, Im all Sammy as well. 50 in Plas and 40 in LCD. Awesome.

50 inch LCD and 32 inch LCD over here...

Your just scan idea might get it done, that sounds like a good solution.
