Garrett Anderson

I've always thought for a long time that this guy was one of the most underrated players in the game. He doesn't even get a mention when u talk about top players or even top players at his position. He's a class act who doesn't talk any trash or disrespect anybody. With the Angels World Series run last year and this past all-star break the world has finally gotten a chance to see one of the top players in the game perform...

Garret Anderson and Magglio Ordonez were always part of my all under-rated team.

Hank Blalock is another guy on that team.  Only 22 years old, DAMN.

I own both of them on my fantasy team along with Vernon Wells, another underrated player.

Quite possibly the best fantasy OF available right now: Anderson, Wells, Ordonez.

I agree with SoxFan1. Anderson isn't underrated.  He's just a great ball player.  Hawk has been tooting his horn for years.  Others, too.  I'm sure they love him in California.

Before this weekend...... How many people would list Garrett Anderson in the Top 5 AL outfielders? Top 10?

He goes about his business quietly without much fanfare. I think you can definitely say he is underated.

Top Ten????  Anybody who knows anything about baseball would have him in the top 10 AL outfielders.

Ichiro

Manny Ramirez

Maggs

Bernie Williams

Johnny Damon

Torii Hunter

Hideki Matsui

Vernon Wells

Carlos Beltran

Jacque Jones

Juan Gonzalez

Carl Everett

Carl Crawford

Rocco Baldelli

Dmitri Young

I know this is a stretch, but some people could have chosen others in front of him before the last 3 days. The fact that he is not known by the masses makes him underrated in my mind. He has gotten better and better and if you aren't playing that close attention, you might not have known how well he was really doing.

I agree with you Jim, that he is a great player and is definitely a top 10 OF. But the number of people who know baseball really well, isn't as great as you think. Not compared to the masses of casual fans out there.
