Cubano
China 0 Japan 4 Japanese hitters did not hit the chinese pitchers well. One Japanese went from 2 second base to third base with a rolling at SS and less than two outs. Another runner went from thrid to home plate with less than two outs. Did anybody wake up at 4:30 AM EST to watch this game? Friday morning Korea vs Chinese Taipei at the same time.
zenryan
I watched the first 2 innings because I dont sleep much. Felt like I was watching a soccer game with the crowd cheering non stop.
Stocking
I watched the whole game and was unimpressed with both Japan and China. For how poorly China looked, Japan should have pounded them.
zenryan
Korea is taking Taipei to the woodshed. Some guy for Korea hit a mammoth grand slam in a 6 run first.
Cubano
Japan trashed Korea today. Korea had beaten Japan 4 of the last 6 games between them counting the WBC # 1, Olympics and Asian Cup. This is the schedule. Canada vs USA today. http://web.worldbaseballclassic.com/schedule/
bschmaranz
The Netherlands are beating the Dominicans.... Kinda crazy. Ponson looked pretty good.

chimpy2121
I thought it was interesting to see Rod Delmonico managing the Netherlands. He was FSU's volunteer first base coach last season and the Tennessee coach before that.
zenryan
why did Tavares try to steal? What a moron.

Kalapse
Turned on the Netherlands vs DR for a second, Hanley Ramirez is at the plate in the 9th inning with the DR down 1. The brilliant Steve Phillips says "If there's one player in the National League you want at the plate in a big moment, it's this guy. He's the best player in the National League." f***ing hack. Hanley is easily the most talented player in the game but the best f***ing baseball player I have ever seen in my life resides in the NL and it's not Hanley Ramirez. Willy Taveras just ran the DR out of the game, f***ing stolen bases, they can kill a team.
LittleHurt05
what a throw by that Dutch catcher to nail Tavares... this would be a crazy upset
zenryan
Nigel Powers: All right Goldmember. Don't play the laughing boy. There's only two things I hate in this world. People who are intolerant of other people's cultures and the Dutch. I've never been more proud of my Dutch heritage!! I'm kinda excited to watch us take on Canada. I couldnt get into it last WBC but maybe because didnt win it makes me more interested this time around. Damn, the Holland catcher has a gun. LittleHurt05
"Big Game" Peavy is at it again...For being such a skilled pitcher, he never pitches very well in big games...
Kalapse
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 7, 2009 -> 01:15 PM) "Big Game" Peavy is at it again...For being such a skilled pitcher, he never pitches very well in big games... Well if he falters down the stretch this season at least he'll have an excuse, racking up abuse points in early March is the perfect excuse for a poor September. Who would of thought Canada would have so many die hards for baseball. Are they actually die-hards for baseball or are they just cheering like crazy to beat the USA at their own game??
