caulfield12
Al-i-say kind of like Alicea (Luis) Where's the game thread? By the way, Bill Melton thinks Adam Russell is catching for the Canadian WBC team and out of the Dodgers' line-up. Cubano
The White Sox TV crew pronounce it as Alexei but it is wrong. The i at the end is not silent. Alex-a-e. Edited March 9, 2009 by Cubano

Dick Allen
Ozzie's last name is supposed to be pronounced Gee-shen, and during his first couple of years playing Tony Kubek would pronounce it that way but it apparently bothered people. Ozzie has said he doesn't care how it was pronounced, just that it was spelled correctly on his paycheck.
